hey guys,
Can anyone tell me where I can get an rb26dett for less than 6,000. I've already looked on ebay, and XAT-racing doesn't have them... I don't know where else to look. Any Suggestions? Thanks

if you're on a budget, you shouldn't really be doing an anything to an RB26DETT

agreed.

if your budget is 6000, go rb25, but even that might be a stretch.

stay away from jazzproparts

if you want something clean and a company with a solid good rep check out venus auto.

Maybe someone at mid atlantic motorsports might know a good supplier for your region (sorry don't know the east coast very well)

+1 for Venus. I know ronald sells RB26dett with the RB25 tranny packaged into it for roughly $5k. Atleast last time I asked about it over a year ago.

rb's are cool..but dont do it. i like my rb26..sounds cool, looks cool, omg skyline motor, BUT its a huge pain in the ass. my car is sooo front heavy, custom everything..nothing is 'bolt on'. sometimes i wish i had an s14 sr

rb25 for 1800... thats asking for failure in my opinion.

3500 for a rb25 sounds like a clean motor.

NEOTECH in santee, ca (san diego) sells them for about 5 I believe, I have had very very good experiences with them. They provide alot of motors for McKinney.

Rb20 rules......cheap, good power, will make 300whp easy. just plan on rebuilding it(or at least replace all gaskets) since they are getting older. Mine is in pretty good shape, but if i had to do it again, I would have rebuilt it before dropping it in. I got a whole R32 front clip for 1,200 bucks, then again, that was about 4 yrs ago.

Jarco is by far the best importer I've dealt with. I buy from them a lot, know all the guys there, and trust everything they bring in 110%. You can't go wrong.

since you are in florida try drag international. IIRC they are located in ft. lauderdale, its where I got my sr from and my mechanic got his rb26dett from.

yea my rb26 has come from Drag International as well. good moto but the standalone i got from them was some cheapo garbage shit. although i was hesitant i put the aem standalone in. i wanted hks but that could only be tuned by hks so fuck that. i thought aem only made like billt fuel rails for integras but their standalone impressed me i must say

agreed. i got my sr from them in early 2003, awesome people to deal with. the front clip was very clean, and everything they said it was. i wouldnt hesitate to do business with them again. probably the only place i would get a motor from based on the fact that i have never heard any real bad stories about them.
