CS downpipe or Turbo elbow + downpipe...?

hey guys i wanted to ask everyone for their advice, suggestions or comments. Im kind of holding out for the Circuit Sports downpipe since it eliminates the turbo elbow and since it flattens out towards the back. But a lot of my friends have been tellin me that its not worth $300 so im wonderin if any of you guys think i should go with a turbo elbow and a downpipe or go for the CS downpipe...if you think i should go with the turbo elbow and downpipe, suggestions of parts would be good. thanx in advance...

the turboelbow downpipe as one piece is actually inconvinient. ever tried removing the elbow before while its in the car? downpipe is just 3 bolts that u can get to with impact.

The CS downpipe is primary for very low vehicles which would scratch on the ground with ordinary "downpipes" because that is the deepest point of the car.

Because of the design of the CS downpipe you'll win a lot of more space between the ground and the downpipe. Also it isnt very healthy for your turbocharger and tubular manifold if you hit the ground with a ordinary downpipe.

I would suggest everyone the CS downpipe, great stuff.

If you have a tubular manifold and want to sit it even higher you have to cut, shorten and reweld the cs downpipe as it is designed for the height of the oem manifold.

Also i suggest you to weld a thick heat shield on it like i did.

We recently had a customer here at our shop who had us install the CS downpipe and his s14. I found that the thin material that is used made for alot of resonance when ever you drove the car. I could hear popping and generally louder exhaust tones, that didnt sound good at all, coming from the downpipe. It would get quite annoying to me to have to hear that everyday, so I'd say go with the other brands. Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

hmm thin material...? yeah it would be really annoying to have to hear excess noise. The only reason i was considering the CS is for the ground clearance, but my car isnt ridiculously low...i think i might end up goin with the turbo elbow and standard downpipe...any recommendations on these parts...

Flex section is not needed and will get worn down if your car is low. Just get a greddy or CS elbow with a stainless downpipe. Then cut the downpipe short, reweld, and ovalize it on the ground with a 2x4 and a big hammer. Or just ovalize it without cutting it short.

i dunno i always liked the flexy flex ones


if my dp were to hit the ground it would hit after the flex section and just move my exhaust around a bit instead of annihilating my mani and shit

I'm glad I went with the CS full downpipe. I barely have enough clearance getting into my drive way. Plus it's give you tons of baller points to add to your baller status.

+1 for flex section, in my opinion it help reduce stress on the manifold and turbo.

CS should make just the downpipe. installing/uninstaling the 5bolt turbo section with the motor in the car is a pita.

I've had a good amount of power gains from oem to CS downpipe that only the butt dyno can prove. Other than that, ground clearance is astounding. Also has a divider plate for the wastegate.

If you have the money to spend on the downpipe, buy it. I have only positive reviews on it.
