im trying to diagnose a stumble thats been getting worse and worse. when the cars cold (up to 50c) and tapping the gas, it goes lean and stumbles. basically you just touch it and it will shoot to the lean side of the guage. this would get better as the car heated up and would basically go away once it was around 70c. its been getting worse and worse. today i was searching for boost leaks in my piping and took a look at the maf to check it out too.

heres my question, on the actual hotwire of the maf, is it just straight wire or does it look like a little capacitor shape? as far as i can remember its just straight wire which leads me to beleive its oil/coke buildup on the wire making it have shit readings. this happened when i had the stock maf too. i took the hot wire out of the maf and scraped the shit off it and re installed, cycled the car twice and it ran perfect. my car runs blowthrough maf so its either the maf, or there is a leak somewhere in the vicinity of the intake manifold. also ive heard that arp head bolts need to be re torqued 1000 miles after install and this hasnt been done. think that might be it? i also get horrible spool my gt3071 gets 18 lbs at around 4800-5000 rpms, which it shouldnt.

before fucking with the maf and trying to clean buildup that might not even be buildup, can someone just take a look down a z32 and see what the hotwire looks like for me?
