Ok i was driveing from washington blvd to get onto 95/395 to go home from work i took the ramp which is 35-40mph i went only 30 and next thoing i know my rear end come out and i start to go to the left and then to the roght then at this point i am conterstearing like crazy. Then my car goes in to a 360 spin on the ramp this ramp it like 3 lanes wide so i was scared cus traffic was right behind me and my front end barely mised the guard rail but i started to brake and when i startd to slow down i hit the brake hard and stopped completly.I then pulled away but my car felt funny at first but checked everything and it was all good and went ome that was a complete rush i was scared at first but then after ward it was like wooohoooo i did not crash.i want to do it again ahahahaha j/k.

damn I know the feeling, a couple years ago when my friend Jeff first got his license me and erik and him were in his little chevy s10, like a 87 or somethin, and I was in the middle with no seatbelt... we're getting on the on ramp that goes up and to the right, it had just rained earlier... first time in about a week, we start fishtailing, and completely spin out. We ended up about a foot from the guardrail... I think it was gods punishment for us throwing packs of top ramen at people walking the streets though..

About a year ago, I was in New Orleans getting off i10 to Canal St. and my rear end came out on the off ramp. I regained tracktion right when i was abotu 10 inches off the guard rail. I'm pretty sure there was some sand/oil on the road. And there was this other time on a dirt road i lost it and went into the ditch, messing up the front left quarter panel a litttle. And there was this other time I came a couple of inches from going into DEEP ditch full of water. Oh and there was a couple of weeks ago when I messed up some grass in front of a gas station in a turn, after taking off my rear stb and messing with the shock settings. And there was this other time that a sherrif pulled up after I did donuts for a couple of minutes in a parking lot, and then he found a half a gallong of bleach in my car and some other stuff and......

damn that must have sucked.....I wonder what everyone behind you was thinking. It's all because of the rain....esspecially when it just rains or its a rainy mist. I tend to fishtail a bit whenever its starts to rain...only one time I spun out of control.

yep the wet will do it. i too have lost traction at arounf 20mpg and went sideways but maintained controll and pulled out of it.
the worst time of rain is when it first starts and the water is mixing with all of the other oil and fluids on the pavement

Yeah, when I first got the car, I think I spun in the rain twice, just from trying to run it too hard. Not smart on my part. I now take it easy in the rain especially on the on/off ramps cause I once wrecked a Z28 on one of those bitches due to all of the sand that was on it (180 into a guardrail).

Reminds me of my close call. And last intentional multi-wheel traction loss on public roads. I did a feint powerslide off a gradual right turn lane onto an empty 4 lane road late at night. Second gear. I did it alright, oversteered, countersteered, gained speed, and than I started to get a slight bit of understeer, and not thinking I panicked and dropped the throttle. Than you know what happened next... snap oversteer, I came close to counter steering quick enough, than lost it. I spun like 180ยบ and was heading for the curb backwards in the oncoming traffic lane at like 15 mph. I hit the brakes, and left cautiously. My two freinds were scared as shit. Good thing I made sure there was nobody on the road first.
Those close calls are so scary while they are happening. I know what you mean about the rush though. Big time.

damn, you people need to learn how to drive.
J/k, i know if there's crap on the road it can make things go bad quick. It also helps if you have some decent tires.

The roads around here are very slick this week. Lots of oil washing off them into the drive tracks. I came around an offramp the other night and sped up to make the light. One of those turns that I've taken 100 times in similar conditions - but the tail came around (even under neutral throttle) and I had to do a fair bit of steering to get it straight again.
GF was not happy - as at one point, we were pretty much sliding parallel to the jersery wall that was no more than 10 feet directly in front of us at that point! hmpf... chicks.

Well i do have some decent tires onmy car they are not the best quaility but thay have a ton of tread on them and like hipposleed said i have taken this turn 100 times before in similar conditions but no probs till yesterday.I usaly in dry conditons take this turn at 60-65 usally and get a slight slid not much but i went only 30 mph and this happend I guess it was oil and water mixing i am not sure.
