i have a problem with my car. After reaching about 3500 rpm while punching the gas, the car just bucks, pops, spits out black smoke and doesn't go any faster. I'm thinking it's a boost leak but i havn't had the time to check it. I have only driven this car like a total of 10 miles and it drives ok just not when u're trying to go fast and rev high... it's a stock sr20det red top stock turbo, w/safc-2, greddy fmic with new couplings, z32 mafs, kts suction kit, walbro fuel pump. i set the safc-2 to 2in and 6out like i'm supposed to but i dunno what's wrong why my car is acting like this. If i remember correctly i think at one point the car was running very well until i had to replace the turbo because it was overboosting and i was lazy to put gauge on the damn thing.... but anyways any input of where the problem could be would be great.

yup it's plugged properly at one point it wasn't and the car wouldn't drive at all... so that concludes that it's not the plug

Stop being lazy and check for vacuum leaks...get back to us after you do. We cant pin point what it is till you start eliminating what it could be. Right now its screaming vacuum leak.

only reason why i'm lazy to check if there's a boost leak is because i'll have to make something to be able to check it. as for vacume leaks there aren't any, brand new hoses every where. A friend of mine was thinking maybe turbo seal? I just replaced the turbo last one had bad shaft play. I'm gonna probably check to see if there's a boost leak tomorrow if i have time. This isn't my daily driver or anything just a for fun car so it just sits... had it for three months and only driven it tops 10 miles....

Having new hoses and lines dont mean jack sheit when one of them is loose or you forgot to put a line somewhere...you dont have to make a damn tool. Soapy water and have the engine running should be enough to point out a crappy coupling. Vacuum line, run your hand on them and see that there isnt a tear or make sure they are all on tight. They check the TB and the rubber intake neck to make sure you plugged holes that your not using.
