I was just wondering what everyone does , no real reason to why i made this poll , but hey, i'm taking full advantage of my sunday , BTW i park with my car in neutral.

I leave it in neutral because the turbo timer runs... unless Im on a big hill then I leave it in gear and turn off the turbo timer -_-

This does happen to me on rare occasions. &nbsp;Either when I am really tired or in a big rush and not concentrating. &nbsp;BUt ya, I feel bad for my car when I do it and I tell my baby sorry.

i leave it in 5th because i figure if my e-brake went out 5th is hte longest gear meaning it will take hte most effort to move it forward.. am i totally wrong about this?

back when i had a manual tranny i always left it in neutral, cuz if i didn't i would do the infamous lauch foward thing..

you guys can get your cars to start without pushing the clutch in!?! My car refuses to start unless the clutch is in, although I have tried leaving it in first, clutch in, ignition, clutch (pop) out -- stall w/ lurch. &nbsp;<img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

i let my g/f's mom borrow my car one day to run to the store(don't ask why , i was afraid she was gonna kill herself with her honda driving experience) , and when i got back in the car she had left in in first and i hadn't noticed , and BAMN i flew forward into a wooden fence , luckily my front end is alread messed up so i wasn't too upset

I leave it in gear, I seem to have this damn brake fluid leak that I can't find that only arises when I use the e-brake... There is no fluid in any of my wheels or anything, nor is it on my carport floor, nor is there any from the reservoir. Since I have decided to deem the e-brake EVIL, I refuse to use it now... I never have to worry about the car lurching forward, I made that mistake and bumped someone's car in my mom's Beretta back in 95' and will never do it again. To answer someone's question, they weren't saying that they can start their cars without pressing the clutch, they were saying that when they let off of it, they forget to take the car out of gear and it will either jump forward or both, depending on whether your foot it on the brake or not...

Have you checked your slave cylinder? It's under the car, next to the tranny on the passenger side by the bellhousing. There are actually 2 valves down there, an air purge valve of some sort, and the slave cylinder.
Maybe one of those is leaking? Have you traced the lines from your master cylinder? that could help solve your problem. <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'> good luck!

I have actually been under every inch of my brake system and there is no evidence of a leak... My next move will be to start replacing shit til it stops.

I park in reverse which is specified in my '89 owners manual but i may have read wrong.
