Ok so my alternator isnt charging my battery, so can i just make a battery line hook it up to the positive terminal of the battery and then run it through the firewall and bolt it on the battery bolt on the back of the alternator?
Im desperate and out of ideas, and again i have searched. I couldnt find any help.
thanks

not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish here. if your alt. isnt charging the battery you should replace it. take it to a auto parts store and see if they can match it to another one. if not you can find them on here or ebay used sometimes.
it sounds like you might have your batt. relocated to the trunk or something. is this right? please provide more info and i or someone else may be able to help you a little easier.

volt meter. Check voltage drops and wire connections. Flow of electrons comes out of alternator, to starter, and to battery. So check connection on alt to starter, and starter to battery. Make sure that ur gettin power out of the alternator. and power all the way on the cable goin to the battery. if your getting above 12.5 or so volts to the cable attaching to ur battery then your battery is prolly fucked. check your battery ground too. So check connections, check voltage drops, and figure it out. Dont do half assed cobble jobs. These are Nissans for god sakes!

brand new alternator probably means that it isnt the alternator. Pretty sure its a grounding problem or corrosion problem. More than half the problems with my car involve grounding and corrosion.

check to make sure u're get over 13.5 volts from ground and alt postive post while the car is running.... i dunno why people never check but take the alt off and take it to the dummies at auto zone to have their alt checked.....

yea, make sure you get all your grounds nice and clean. A bad ground can leave you stranded.
when you relocate the battery just run it to the positive post on the Starter. The stock wiring harness connects that to the alternator, so you're good.

I'm not sure if you have an S13 or S14. I have an S13 and the battery in the trunk. I was just cleaning up my engine bay wiring last night so this is fresh in my mind.
First of all, since moving the battery, did the alt ever charge?
After moving the battery, you are left with one big black wire going to the starter (which you are going to junk since you are running a new one from the trunk), a big'ish white wire that runs from the alt. into the relay/fuse box in the engine compartment through a 60 or 75 Amp fuse and then back out to the battery. You also have two smaller white wires that power the headlights.
You need to make sure that big white wire is connected to the battery (just run it to the starter. And make sure the big fuse 60/75 Amp fuse is okay. I used 4 gauge battery cable from an auto parts store that I cut so I could have the ring term already attached to a decent piece of cable. Then I cut a 2 gauge copper ring terminal to make a butt/splice connector by using the crimpy part to connect all the left over white wires to the starter/battery via the previously mentioned 4 guage cable.
