View Full Version : tie rods look "wrong" to me, HELP

i posted a pic so you guys can see what i am talking about. this is Z32 inners with SPL outers. i believe there is supposed to be a nut on the inside of the other tie rod, where it meets the outside. is that correct?
also, can you tell me how to put the outer tierod in relation to the "knuckle".
for example, in this picture would the the way i am holding the tierod be the correct way to mount it, or is it upside down? and do the washers just stay on that end to take up space?

orientation is correct. goes 'under'. makes sense if you recall the purpose is to account for the angle increase caused by lowering
looks like you're missing one locking nut

i did the same spl z32 inner and spl pro outter rods. I made a how to on my forums that may help if you want to take a look.

You're missing the jam nut that keeps the tie rod end locked to the rod.
