my s13 stock ka24 temp gauge is bouncing what do i do 2 fix it. shits just bouncing around but never goes above half way. thanks alot yall

dump it coz its useless....its never accurate anyways.
just get an after market one.

thanks but money is tight. is thereany way to tighten it or adjust it. cuss oviously its kinda working

u dont have even 20-30bucks to spare?well i think most of the guys having problems with their stock temp gauge just changes them to an aftermarket one.
do some research and probably you will find something.

Theres two sensors.. Both are water temp sensors.. One is for the ECU, one is for the Gauge. Replace both for the hell of it. The gauge temp only affects the gauge. Mine was doing the same thing.. just swimming up and down. Fixed it with replacement. While you are down there, do yourself a favor and replace the ECU temp sensor as well. This is the sensor that tells your ecu to stop dumping in fuel during or in this case.. after warm up. These two sensors are right above the lower radiator hose on the engine, but below the throttle body. I bought mine from frsport.com. heres a link...

If you are interested I can get you that bottom sensor for $23 shipped brand new... The top one is the one you "need".

Once the sensor starts "fishing" it needs replacement. The most you can do is to try cleaning the plug.

what tools would i use for the job. ima try 2 clean it first or see if its not properly installed
