Hey guys I recently acquired some rear overfenders for my s14. I am going to install them in the next couple days but I had a couple questions I figured someone here might be able to help me with. First off Im riviting them on so do you happen to know what size rivits I should buy? Also when installing the rivits should I use a pop rivit gun by hand or I can get n rivit gun that hooks up to the compressor. I was thinking the compressor one since it would be easier on the hands but is it going to apply to much pressure to the rivit and cause the overfender to crack? And lastly I was gonna run a layer of 3m double sided tape on the overfenders right where they meet the stock body cause im afraid that over time the overfender might move around and rub the paint off and cause the metal to rust under the overfender. The thing im worried about is will this little bit of tape cause to much of a gap between the fender and the stock body that when i go to rivit it the pressure of the rivit will crack the fender? Sorry for the long post but just needed to get these things cleared up before I start on these later today and I have searched the past couple days to no avail for these particular questions. Thanx a lot. Cameron

Technically you are installing over-quarter-panels, fenders are in the front.
once you have cut away the stock quarter, install the over-quarters with a small amount of double sided tape until you have the fitment right and everything is aligned properly. Then drill your first few holes and experiment with a few different pop-rivets. You may need some different lengths depending on where you want the rivets to show.
Once you have all of the pop rivets in place that quarter panel isn't moving anywhere.

alright that is what I needed to know. Im not sure if I follow on the different size rivets so that they will show? I figured one size would be good all the way around. The head of the rivet will show on the outside of the overfender anyways right? Just clarifying. Thanx, Cameron

yeah the rivet will show, I'm talking about the length of the rivet...
