why i hate the apple store

i saw that new apple keyboard, the super slim one, right? and i recently dumped some tea into my good keyboard, so i'm in the market for one. so i go up to the apple store to see if they have them in stock and see how they feel.
i get there and there aren't any out, so i ask if they have them. the employee tells me they aren't getting their shipment for a couple days, so i ask if he knows if they're compatible with pc's, as i don't own a mac, nor will i ever, hopefully. he says they won't, and then asks me why i don't have a mac. i tell him the truth- i build my own, and i don't need my operating system to coddle me. i have an ipod, because it's a quality device- but i look at macs as tinker toys for adults. regardless, that keyboard sure looks nice.
he proceeds to ask me what i do for video editing, since i can't use imovie or final cut. i tell him i have vegas, and for simple projects i can always use windows movie maker, which works fine. he asks me how i edit photos, since, APPARENTLY, i can't use photoshop. dumbfounded, i tell him that photoshop runs on both mac and pc. he makes some crack about mspaint not being photoshop, i tell him i have cs3, and, moreover, i could put OSX on my pc and run final cut if i actually wanted to. he gives me a "yeah right", tells me the keyboards don't work with pc's, and looks for another customer to misinform.
where do they find these retarded, elitist pricks, and how do they get them to all go out and get goofy haircuts? fucking ridiculous. retail workers never cease to amaze me with their lack of information.

I'm a mac and PC user and I find them elitist. I love when for example my emac has a hack online to turn the monitor mirror port into a dual monitor. told me it was impossible to run duals on a emac. $19 later I was running dual monitors. many times they've told me things were impossible. they definitly don't think outside the box but thats the moto. my mac are actually for work. I find it interesting that employees can't screw them up as quickly as a PC and my imac has only restarted due to updates. never a crash in a work enviroment for over a year is so helpfull for me.

When the new Intel laptops were coming out and various online groups were close to booting XP on it, I stopped by the Apple Store in Northridge to check them out. Similar type of sales dude comes over and asks me some questions. Told him I was still waiting for Adobe to come up with optimized version of their programs and for XP compatibility. He got incensed and swore that would NEVER happen. Less than a month later Apple came out with their own support for XP.

i was never a big fan of apples til i started taking art classes....now I do think they are way better for art etc....Id save my work that i didnt finish and work on it on my PC at home and I gotta say I like them better....

but yeah as for sale people thats sales people everywhere.....go to a really nice clothing store and they look at you like you cant afford shit and give you an attitude, forgetting the fact that they ONLY WORK THERE but act like its their clothing line....I went to the Lacoste store on Rodeo drive when I was in cali last summer and they had this attitude like why are you asking me questions.....let them think theyre cool and what not, then remind them they work at a store in a mall etc and probably make about $9 an hour

Based strictly on sheer numbers, I think it's probably the case that there are going to be more PC-owning fucktards than Apple-owning fucktards.

I own apple computers because I like them. I use them for about 10 hours a day because that's what my industry almost universally requires (I'm a graphic designer).

My biggest problems is with mac owners. For some reason they like to give me a hard time b/c I have a pc, stating that macs are better blah blah blah. I like to point out that when their superdrive fails they have to send it in to be repaired (macbooks) when I just have to order one and install it myself and no internal card readers which would drive me nuts b/c I use my PCM/CIA slot and SD card slot all the time. I've seen as many macs crash as pc's.

Either way they are both computers and they will both fail. DONE
