I've got the part number from a Euro forum, but the US Nissan dealerships can't even look it up.
With Toyotas, Jap and US part #s were all in the same database.
Anyone know how/where to get one stateside?

i have always waned a back window wiper. my friend thinks im nuts cause i told him he shoulda kept his wiper on his hatch. And like said befor that glass is going to coast alot. its not like the s13 ones were the wiper motor and mount are on the trunk this one goes therw the glass and mounts were the rear speakers are.

Anything to be different.
I'm not a fan of the wiper.

I believe in function over form.. I can't see shit out of the back. I would gladly buy the whole conversion.. It gets annoying not seeing anything in the rain. I didn't know this even existed.. Think I might look into it next summer when I go to the good ole EU.

Ha I agree, with function over form. Might not look too great, but i'm coming from 2 70's 280Z's with rear wipers, i miss it :( If the rear glass werent so expensive to obtain i'd gladly swap on over. :) Good luck with the conversion!

I had a wiper and the sprayer in my hatch, worked great!
I loved it,

i'd rather save the money and weight and invest in a bottle of rainX. seeing out the back doesn't need to be that detailed anyway.

Yeah, I can't see shit out the back when it rains even with rainX. The vorticity's on the back swirl the rain.
I looked at this a couple years back. The motor and wiper assembly was cheap. But, the Rear glass with the hole would have cost $750. If some one can find the glass for cheap I'm interested.
The rear tray on USDM S14's have the hole and the mounting points for the wiper motor. All you need is the unit, glass, switch and wiring.

JHot Imports in Augusta occasionally sells the glass on Ebay for about $100. Shipping is an issue though, I've shipped three rear windows in the past and even with everything I can do to keep it solid they've all ended up broken. UPS nor FedEx gives a hell about the word 'fragile'.

^tell me about it, my friend used to work at fedex. And said they literally throw the boxes around.
I have a rear wiper on my hatch. But I also live in Seattle and it rains alot here, so I can't complain!

Most guys here in Japan yank it out, usually the first thing to rust on a car and start leaking water when it rains. I lucked out, I got a Q chassis, only Ks have the rear wipers on S14s.

How hard can it possibly be to cut that hole in there? I wish there was something available for us.. I hate not seeing shit from the rear.

Cut a hole in auto glass? Good luck bro. I'd love to see the results.

only Ks have the rear wipers on S14s.
Cool. That means mine must be a K's !
LOL yeah I also wanted one forever but damn it's pricey to convert. If you live anywhere where it rains a lot it will bug the hell out of you not being able to see anything out back. Add aftermarket mirrors like Bomex with their whole 10 degrees of viewing angle for that special touch. :)
