Zex Kit On 240sx

well i have a 350z turbo and a zex kit to cool it down. i just got a 95 240sx and i want to swap the motor, but be4 i do that i wanna spray it, how much do u guys think the KA will hold.


ps i am gonna take it to the drag to see what it does on sliks and spary, but first i need to no how much it will hold safely:hsdance:

are you using the zex kit on your z as an intercooler sprayer?

if so, then it's a dry setup, and a KA isn't going to take much at all, lol.

Nooo Yea I No..... Dry Is A Noo Nnoo, I Am Gonna Do A Wet Spray But I Dont No Whats The Most It Will Hold I Am Goning To Try A 100shot After Ill Do A 125 Jet

I don't know about the ka. On my 96 Maxima I was spraying 55 to start out to figure it out. Then I was using 75. Any higher than that and you would need to be at least running 2 step colder spark plugs and might even need engine management to reduce the spark. I was running a zex wet shot on it. But yea if your gonna spray I definately recommend using 2 step colder plugs, just make sure your not running platinums - they stay hot and explode, not cool with nitrous. So just a word of warning. O and make sure not to spray in first gear, really bad on the tranny and hard to keep traction. Fifth is also a no no. Those are all really safe ways not to blow up the car LoL.

My max had about 130k on the motor. The only reason it blew was because my ex-fiance borrowed it and was spraying in first. That's the reason I would recommend not spraying in first gear LoL.

i no all about the 1st and 5th, i sparyed a 125 shot on my z with colder plugs and a nice tune.....but i have wet to find out whats the most a KA will hold

100 or 125 are you crazy the ka will go boom, i would do nothing over 75 change the plugs 2 heat ranges colder make sure you get out all the 87 gas and change it to 91 or whatever. and if you want just call the nos tech line they will tell you

i did a 60 dry on a single cam trying to blow it.
it held it, i gave the motor away now it is turbo in a truck.

^^^ Nice... I was busy looking for that thread.. The KA is much tougher than people give it credit for... go to ka-t.org and you'll find several people safely spraying their motors..
