Metal In Engine

i putting in my oil feed line (stock) into the block when i noticed i was putting it in crooked, it cross-threaded and just poped out. there might me small metal peices inside the engine because there was alot of metal dust outside. my question is will the oil filter filter this? how can i remove it if not? thx in advance

if you are talking about the oil feed line for your turbo, then your oil filter has already done its job and those metal shavings will probably go into your turbo and destroy some bearings. Have a nice day.

I just had to leave you hangin.. haha.. to remedy your situation dont run your motor and crank your motor with your turbo line unplugged.. your oil will spew out of the side of the block before it gets a chance to go back into the motor. If you have already run it.. pull your pan off and perform a flush.

well if you stripped your oil fitting to the block, your in bigger trouble.

I dont think there is bigger trouble than a fried bearing. :)
he can fix the strip at any machine shop by either inserting helicoils or going with a larger banjo bolt and a larger oil line fitting. Total cost of parts to fabricate would probably be less than a couple of hundred. A new motor: 1900 from neotech. :)

well still, hes going to have to remove the engine either way. Most unless you are lucky machine shops won't touch an engine inside the car.
