Badass.

Between this, and Transformers, I don't know which is the better Summer film.

Ah.

They don't make action films like this anymore.

i gave it 3/5.

action was sub-par. car chase was weak.
plot was boring.
resolution wasn't surprising.

Anyone else get a bad case of motion sickness after watching it?

I did...only because there were six tickets left and I had to sit in the third row.

Anywho.....good movie, but I still think Transformers is the movie of this Summer.

that was the point.

the camera was freehand so it makes it more realistic.

movie was awsome...i was really pleased with it, fight scenes and chases were totally unrealistic but that is expected....all in all i think it kicked ass and its worth seeing

There was a shaky camera when the dude was sitting at his desk. That's not realism, that's annoying.

And in the credits they had 2 "steadicam" guys. I was like "What steady cam?! Fire those two assholes!"

It had an old school action film feeling to me, meaning there was great suspense, with some ass kicking action scenes. You don't get that today too much (if anything, at all). If I recall, James Cameron was really the last person to do it till Michael Bay, Jerry Bruckheimer, Don Simpson and company (nothing against them at all) tore the action into all out mayhem.

BTW, I have always liked the look of a film when using a handheld camera. Even better when using natural lighting.

il try not to ruin it for those who havent seen it

but one thumb up from me.

i really didnt like how almost every confortation between any two people was filmed over one persons shoulder. Made me feel like i was in an interrogation room.
the ending wasnt that great, i would have loved to see more action in the final scene

but apart from that its not a bad movie.

How accurate is the movie to the book? I was really dissapointed when I watched Bourne Identity after reading the book. Havn't seen or read the next ones yet.

badass. Tossup between this and transformers for best of the summer. Bourne had a badass plot and the ending had me on the edge of my seat.

 so many people here are quoting what Matt and John Stewart were talking about on Stewarts show last week.

"So far we had only one bad review, SOMEONE CALM DOWN THAT CAMERA MAN!"

Kinda felt a bit more realistic that way... like when you jump its not going to be a smooth landing... or a car scene should be bumpy like that when he is getting(or giving) a hit.

It wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. Ending was interesting.

Anyone notice the simliarities between this movie and the first two?

For example, each movie had a crazy car chase, a crazy fight between an assasin out to kill Bourne and ending of the last movie was simliar to the way the first movie began.

The movies were never suppose to be like the book

but the the new Bourne videogame will be based of the books.

shakey camera not equal action...

If your driving flat out on a city street and someone is shaking the camera violently... does it make you more furious?

i didn't enjoy it but maybe it was because the theaters AC was out.. and it was either watch or wait another hour for some seats in a sold out show.

Theres a reason God placed our eyes on our head and not our HANDS. The camera is the auidences eyes, and to have it on some guys hands fuckin moving like crazy is some annoying ass shit. I havent seen it yet but now Im a little disspointed if thats how the camera views are. Super duper uber weak.

i didn't like it too much. the camera movement was cool due to the movement it made you feel. but most of the movie was flashback with little action all together. all i'm gonna say is count how many guys he fights in #1 and then count this movie too. #1 wins hands down!

it was ok Mats... at some points it's almost like the action is too fast for your eyes to take it all in.... all in all it was a fairly decent film.

It was...okay

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best Bourne out of the 3

I dunno what it was...the action was cool and all, but the way they twisted the story was weak, and although they brought it full circle, it was a pretty weak full circle

Julia Stiles was pretty cute though, for some odd reason

I saw Rush Hour 3, I thought it was actually a lot better than I expected

Jokes were funny, and although corny, you can't get enough of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan playing off each other

Chris Tucker needs to do another movie and bring it BACK, ala Friday style

Hands down his best performance as Smokey

i thought the last book written was the bourne ultimatum. they did leave the ending up for a fourth one to go down if they decide to make one.

rush hour 3 was pretty good. i enjoyed it.

I went to my local theater today to watch Rush Hour 3, but since the AC broke in some of the rooms, they adjusted the schedule. I ended up watching Bourne Ultimatum instead.

I loved it! I wasn't planning on watching it until it came out on dvd, but I'm glad I did. I noticed the camera got shaky, but I quickly forgot about it as the movie went on. I liked this movie more than the previous.

Gonna watch Rush Hour 3 tomorrow, lol.

TheSquidd

Definitely not the strongest of the 3, probably the weakest of the 3 in fact.

I think the "shaky cam" is meant to convey the confusion of the scenes, such as the chase through the train station, it's like your eyes are searching the train station to find Bourne in a crowded place.

I dunno.

The car chase? The first movie had one of the greatest car chases of all time, this one, Bourne just plows through a bunch of cars recklessly and ends up getting crashed. eck.

FRpilot

actually i liked the first one and 3rd one. i think the 2nd one was the weakest.

i dont know which one is better between first and third. i kind of leaning on the third one a little bit more.. maybe its more thrilling to me since the plot is bourne goes back to meet his makers.

^^ yeah seriously, watching that on the big screen at the movies kinda hurt my eyes, trying to figure out what was going on. other than that i really enjoyed it. my fiance was covering her eyes a lot of the time lol.

I definitely thought the first two were better, but I still liked it.

I think Transformers had more action though. Plus, the trashy white chick in Transformers is much hotter than Julia Stiles in my opinion.
