I'm looking at some 16x7.5 rims right now. What size tires should I be looking at? A friend of mine has some 225's that I can get close to free, but would they fit?

the tires r about 1.33" bigger than the rim size so they'll work fine, just right IMO.

you could put upto a 235 on a 7.5 tire mabye even a 240 now that would be a nice number <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

go with you're friends tires if they're good tires

but remember
buying crappy equipment cheap doesn't make it better, you've still got junk
but if you buy a good product for a little more money, now you've got nice stuff and a little less cash

if the sidewall is big its going to be odd tho u want something like a 45 or 50

I can't remember what kind they are, but I know they're good tires, he's a little annoyed about having to give them up actually...

As far as the aspect ratio, i'll have to ask him about that later today.

I have 225/45/16's on my 16x7.5's. &nbsp;225/50/16's would work too and gives you a tad more sidewall if rough roads are the norm in your area.
My240, FYI there's no such thing as a 240 tire size...only 235 and 245. &nbsp;235's would work, but if they don't have pretty stiff sidewalls, it may start to hurt handling more than helping it. &nbsp; 245's are too much for 7.5's IMO.

ooohh..... ok thanks Lance
and on the side wall if its the 225 than a 50 would be the higest i would go IMO
me i like 40 i would go with a 35 in the front but the roads around me r retarded bobin and weavin left and right to avoid the holes
