How did you guys wire up the battery/alternator kill? Since there's 2 wires going from the battery, can I just interrupt it somewhere down the line or does it have to be at the power terminal? I'd like to keep the length of wire down to a minimum.
Anyone compete SCCA ITS class? Would love to discuss a few things with you via PM.

You can just wire in the kill switch on the posi. line.
anywhere along the line, and you're good to go.

Does that class require an externally mounted kill switch? I cant remember

one that can be reached from outside the vehicle. so, next to the window is ok.
well, the car has 2 wires immediately branching out from the positive terminal. i'd like to splice in the wires a little bit further down. guess i'll be playing around with it then.
anyone run its? got a few questions about your weights and stuff. :)

if you put the kill at the positive terminal then the car will continue to run even when you kill it, you need have it kill power to the ecu as well. or you will end up with the alternator running the carh even with the battery disconnected. you can take you battery out while the car is running, and the car will stay running, or at least mine while since i have a custom harness. not too sure about full stock. most battery disconnects offer two switches, one that disconnects power from the battery, and one that will ground out the ecu power.

well, it's a 2 step kill. rules states it has to goto alternator and battery positive. i've never heard of any kill that goes to the ecu, that would be mighty interesting tho. :)
i just took off the front bumper to mount the soft tow hook and jesus christ, the bumper weighs like, 40 lbs thanks to all these metal brackets. i was trying to interpret the rules for ITS and it doesn't say specifically anywhere if i can run bumper clips. guess that's a no. =/

ok so i interrupted the battery at the terminal, then took one to the alternator and alt terminal 1 on switch. then looped alt terminal 2 to switch battery terminal 2 (unpowered when off)
it works, so i'm thinking it's fine.
