Sorry man. You lose. Try searching for engine mods, engine swaps, or forum how-tos.

s13 cams, real cold air intake, higher octane gas, and advance timing.
Make sure your car runs perfect before hand.

Sell your car and buy a faster one. With the regulations in cali i doubt you can make anymore power without knowing someone.

wont help with power but will enable you to rev faster. 1pc light driveshaft, lightened flywheel, underdrive pullies. Might want to try to get some mild cams.

Turbocharge your car, keep the car stock looking stock and sounding stock, and bite the bullet if you ever get sent to the REF.

I'm sure you can find someone to kick you in the nuts. :fawk:

Lightweight flywheel is pretty good. But NA on the KA still kinda sucks if you want it to be quick.

JWT ECU, Hi-comp pistons, forged rods, balanced crank, cams, port and polish, lightweight pullies, header, exhaust, test pipe, intake, larger injecotrs, no AC, no power steering...

Of course that will give you the same HP as an sr swap for 3x the cost.

isn't the greddy turbo kit CARB legal? it's not huge power, but certainly a boost in power. and at $2700, it won't break the bank.

Man I feel sorry for you cali people. I live in MO, and my county doesnt have emissions testing. I dont know how you guys manage.

Anyhow, if you want power with a ka, you might want to be willing to risk getting sent to the ref because otherwise its not gonna happen.

I actually had to look up what the referee was. Im so sorry for you guys.

i think you have a few realisic options.
if you are a baller, get a vq swap, its legal and its gonna be way faster than a stock ka, and it will sound sexy as fuck.

2. turbo he ka, thats what i did, (but if you do somethign illigal like swap an sr, or an illigal turbo in the ka( cause greddy makes a street legal turbo kit( it might not be legal in cali im not sure)

3 liek everyone says use le a 50 shot of nitrous.
or do a search for a ka24de aems crank.
anyway good luck.

what is that going to do, the stock ignition is good enough to go with stock everything else. if you have a big turbo that's blowing the spark out, then it would help. it's not going to give you a kick in the pants alone.

This is a manual 240sx correct? If it's an auto then that's your problem.

Drivetrain mods are the shizzle. Upgrade to a 5-speed (if not already), Get an aluminum 1-piece driveshaft, aluminum flywheel, short shifter, aluminum crank pulley, better than stock clutch, and a basic tune up will always help.

These are some of the mods I've done to my S13 and compared to stock....waaay better. And it's all smog legal.

Also don't throw 24 lbs 18" rims on your ride and expect to make low 15s, 14s at the track.

You'd be surprised what guys have done to their rides, then say, "my shit is slow".
