used to skate.. broke my leg 360 flippin a 12 stair when i was 16 - then quit. never seriously skated again. just sometimes when peeps have a board around i do some freestylin. always a fun hobby though, keep it up bud.

Dislocated shoulder ~12 times - original injury and few of the first times were from skating.

Severly sprained ankles.

Hairline fracture on right wrist.

Status: retired.

LOL. I skated durign the late 80s to early 90s. Skateboard boom to skateboard dull. Injuries, not progressing fast enough, graffiti and friends moving away as the it was dying made me stop. Still have a board and roll around on occasion but I can't even olly up a curb anymore.

Ive been on the board for 10 years now im 21 so thats almost 1/2.
I broke my leg about 2 years ago and damm that took me out of the
game for like 6 months.Had to get a plate crunched around my fibula
along with 7 screws I also snowboard and i broke/dislocated my shoulder
I don't really know what happened to it cause I didnt go to the hospital.I went home and took care of it myself.....:naughty: with my nugs.Its still all
jacked up looking but no pain.I know lots of pro's and am's.My homie is on Listen and Adio,another homie skates for Nike.Use to kick it with the Baker crew till I moved out to Corona.Like I always say "if you stray away than fade away"So for you that still skate keep it up.And the ones that use to skate What are you so busy doing?......and dont say work, or i gotta GF.

he's 16 turning 17 in november, he was skating for the firm up until they merged with flip. then he was getting flowed from powell and thunder trucks but he hasn't sent any footage for like 3 months and they stopped sending him stuff. he is collecting footage right now, seen some of it and its fucking dope as hell. will post when its up. in the mean time here is some of my neighbors mess up footage.

i started in 7th grade (early 1990's), stopped sophomore year in High School. i picked it back up in college (1997) and have been off and on ever since.
i had more time to skate in college and when the scene blew up - it was girls galore. skateboard = chick magnet
Time is scarce now with work and all but i manage to hit up vans skatepark or this secret spot by my house at least once a week.

I'm FINALLY getting the hang of switch & nollie stuff so i'm working on switch/nollie heels. my frontside flips a supper lobbed :ghey: and my tre flip is broken. :mad:. This just means i need more practice.

there are 12yr olds kids out there that are better but that shouldn't stop people from skating and having fun.

oh, and about san fransisco... the whole city is unskateable now... I remember doing a trip out there back in 03, and everywhere we went was a bust. pier 7 was supposed to be the skaters sanctuary and that cops would leave us alone at that pier, but i recently saw pics of that place allllll knobed up. they even put like metal rails across the manny pads there.

I still skate.. I just go to the local park now here in San Clemente.. It's not the best but it sure beats driving far distances just to sit in traffic and get tickets... Looking back I've driven some far distances just to skate at certain places.


If there is a Zilvia meet sometime soon then I'll probably be there.. I broke my board today though.. Couldn't Nollie heel the pyramid.. That's the first time I broke a board out of frustration in a long time=/

woohoo finally a skateboarder thread.

Eh, i started up in 7th and skated tough untill 11th grade.
Got a gf and car, then i only did it occasionally.
Im 20 now and i still skate, im a bit rusty but hardflips and tre's come out.
i dont know how my switch flips are mighty clean, and i can barely do that shit regular lol.

I've never been much of a rail/stairs guy, but i love to bust flat ground shit and grinds all day long. MAn skating eases my mind.

Hardflips were never my thing.I could do them but it'll be mega slop. I was the 360 flip king both regular and switch.. Now Regular only rotate about 340 degrees and switch ones come once in a blue moon..

+1 on the kickflip statement... I don't know where my regular kickflips went =/... Nollie, fakie and switch are all easier then regular now.. I don't even understand how that is possible.


I've always hated rails (excluding flat bars), but I loved gaps and stairs... Now I can't even dream to do any.. I don't heal as fast as I used to in Jr. High and highschool, I also can't afford to break anything major (foot/ankle/wrist/arm).. I leave that stuff to the younger crowd.

I had friends that skate the rail but that was like 7 years ago.. From what I heard from the kids at the local park that place is a crazy bust now.. You get 2 tries tops to pull your trick before you're booted out..

One time my buddies and I skated this college campus,its an awsome skate spot.Perfect smooth ass run up 9,and a 12 rail that made it into a few Transworld mags.Perfect ledges,etc.Then outta no where cops come out of every angle coming in their police cruisers drifting in the grass towards us,literally."Geet the Fuck dOWn" Lol .20 of us were like WTF and hauled so much ass out of there.(we were most likely getting arrested)
Little did we know that they just started cracking down on skateboarders at U.M. (University of Miami).

They used to just warn us before,but now,the heat is on along with almost every spot these days

It sucks,but thats how it is :-/ They could be going after drug dealers instead of arresting skateboarders...

I skated for all of high school starting in 92. Skated to parties, skated between muni lines, skated all over. Drank a bunch of OE or Cisco and scraped my face several times. I managed to save all my teeth thankfully. My shins still have dents in them. And my ankles crack constantly.

Then when I turned 18 I got my license...end of skating for me. No more bus either. Both my brothers still skate - one has cadaver ligaments in his knee and the other's a cop.

When I first started skating in 7th I was also playing basketball... Sprained my ankle a couple times playing basketball, then broke my ankle while skating... Probably wasn't a good idea to continue skating (after it healed doctor told me not to run or do any heavy physical sports), but I said f* him and ran four years of track and cross country and skate every now and then... Now my ankle hates me and decides to hurt whenever it wants... Sucks, but skating is fun :bigok:

I just finally pulled a nollie flip blunt stall today at the skatepark.. It took me like a month to learn them..

At first I was trying not to use my hand when coming out but it was too hard.. I tried it today with using my hand it I pulled itin a couple hours...


I wanna try finger flip out now =P...


Oh and the person that offered to go skate San Clemente (park) last week.. I'm down for it now.. I finally got a board .

Still have my board but don't have too much time to skate.
And if I do it's flatground and even that it's a problem - I go from barely being able to get my balance to trying 360 kickflips (Tre!?? wtf is that?) and busting my ass.
So now most of my 'skate' activities center about taking my little cousin and his friends to events - since I remember how I didn't have that as a kid. Took them to GvR a couple of weeks ago. That was pretty cool.
