I just came back from a road trip and I started to notice a noise being emitted sometimes whenever I put it in gear while the clutch is depressed, but the noise does not emit when the clutch is engaged while in neutral.
The clutch I'm using right now is a Centerforce Stage 2 clutch kit and it has only 16,000 miles. Could it be the release bearing? It's not like I abuse the car either, and it's only seen one drift event and that was in May of '06. Or could it be that the lines need to be rebled again?

So anytime the pedal is depressed you hear a noise. But, when you let the pedal out there is no noise?

Nah, when the clutch is depressed when shifting to a gear, it makes a noise. But that happens randomly, not at all times.
When the clutch is in while neutral, the clutch does not make a noise.
The noise is similar to how you put the steering wheel at a full lock in a car equipped with power steering.
It could also be a bad slave? I do know that I have had issues with the slave in which I keep having to bleed the slave over and over just to acquire a stiffer pressure on the clutch pedal.

You replace the input bushing when you replaced the clutch?

Yep, sure did (the shop did).

I have this problem too on my car. But I am running a super shitty XTD Ebay clutch, that makes noise by itself. I also think the pilot bearing needs replacing...
maybe you too? or maybe it is that slave cyl acting up like you said, but i cant se how that would be making noise

Well I have a much lighter pedal pressure coming from the slave as a result so that is why I believe it could be the slave taking a dump.

Okay replaced the slave, acquired much better pedal feel as a result, but the noise has not gone away.
Anyone else ever had problems with the throw out bearing? It's an NSK TOB. I honestly cannot understand how the TOB can start to have problems after 16,000 miles. It just doesn't make sense. Any other areas I should look at which would cause the TOB to make such noise?

I still don't think the input bushing was replaced.

How do you figure? Not a flame but just out of curiosity.

sounds like you got air in your lines. What kind of noise does it make? like a grinding noise? or like a metal rubbing noise?

There is absolutely no air in the lines whatsoever. If that was the case the clutch pedal would have issues, but the slave was just replaced and the line was rebled.

TOB nosie only usally comes in when the TOB is unloaded. You hear it when the TOB is loaded.
When the clutch is depressed the input shaft and the crank are going at separate speeds. If the bushing is worn or out of round it can make noises. More so when the car is moving. Downshifting would make the worst noise.
If the sound is related to gear changes and applying load to the tranny it could be your input shaft bearings.

Interesting, never thought about that.
Well I might as well drop the transmission one weekend at a friend's house since he has a lift and transmission jack in his garage, so what else should I replace while the transmission is out? Rear transmission seal, Throw out bearing, pilot bushing, and/or input shaft bearings?

My car has the same problem, everyone said pilot bushing.

Bump before I take it apart next weekend.

Rear seal, TOB, Pilot bushing.

Rear seal, TOB, Pilot bushing.
Rear transmission seal or the rear main seal? Rear main seal was already replaced, but I don't think the rear transmission seal that connects the transmission to the driveshaft was replaced, so might as well replace that while I'm at it.
