I Have The Un Popular Ka24de And I Was Woundering What The Little Plates Are For In The Intake Runners Of The Manifold Right Where The Manifold Bolts Onto The Head

Those are for the Secondary Butterflies. I removed them on mine along with the other emissions stuffs. Great for KA-T less restriction. Dont forget to plug them should you choose to remove it.

dont remove it.. from another forum:

from some of the dyno results I've seen when people disabled them and enabled them, you lose around 15-25ft/lbs of torque when you disable or remove them. They're their for a reason.

not sure how credible it would be, but not only is it a bitch to remove the intake manifold when the motor is in the car, its a waste of time.
