on my car, the rev limiter kicks in around 7000 rpm in gears 1-3, around 6000 in 4th and the fuel cut kicks in at 115 mph in 5th.

no rpm limiter for me in 4th...i can go right up to 6500rpm at about 100mph... shows 120 on the speedo for fuel cut (+/- 15%).

i dont remeber a 240 having a rev limiter there is however a fuel cut though. i know for sure my sr20de sentra has a fuel cut and no rev limiter. hondas have rev limiters i dont recall any nisssan lately that has a rev limiter. correct me if im wrong

my rev limiter is 6500 or something like that, and its the same for all gears.
in 5th my fuel cut occurs around 115, but i have taken it to 120 before it cuts out before.
in 4th I can wind the engine clear to redline which winds the speedo down past 120.

hmm. i'm thinking my rev limiter is higher in 4th gear afterall. 6500 sounds right because i've hit 115 then let off, in 4th gear. i don't know if it could have gone higher in 4th or not, the old SOHC didn't seem to like it.

rev limiter is when the tach meter reaches it's limit and bounces repeatedly at the designated rpm marker. should be the same for gears 1-4. mine bounces at 7000rpm, don't know why or how, but it does. I got a 98 5-spd.
fuel cut only happens in 5th gear. it doesn't use tach to mark it. rather, it uses the speedometer. so if you have a stock computer, you can't hit 5th gear rev limit cause fuel cut will occur well before that.
to answer how to remove them, i don't know. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'>
To remove them, you need a device similar to the HKS SLD (Speed Limit Defenser) or HKS FCD (Fuel Cut Defenser)... I think keeping the rev-limiter is a good idea unless you have reasonable engine modifications...

Uh huh. These aren't things that you should just decide to do away with. If you are doing a serious buildup, send your ECU to JWT and have them reprogram it. If not, you won't get any more performance out of upping the rev-limiter. Removing the fuel cut is easy - but only matters if you really have some need for doing 120+ mph?
