speedometer not working with brand new speed sensor

i have a 92 240sx hatch with a redtop sr20det swap. the problem is that everything else on the gauge cluster works except for the speedometer. i have changed the speed sensor with a new one for a 92 240sx. it is wired correctly at the ecu. yellow/green i believe. i need this to pass inspection. i was wondering if there was a way i could wire it directly from the speedsensor or any way of checking why its not working. i have done everything people have said when i searched. i am afraid it some how has been cut behind the dash and being my dd i cant have this car down.

well duh, its probably not connected. Just remove the cluster and sshheeck it out.

I have the same problem, even before I dropped in my SR. Speedometer stopped working, replaced speed sensor, still not working. Checked under-dash harness, everything was fine. Tried 3 different clusters, same prob. :wtf:

i dont have a problem with driving without it i can guestimate without it but for inspection its a must and the guy that used to do mine left his wife and moved to VA so im fucked ha
