RC Drift Club Drift Showdown Videos

Didn't post this in the random video thread because it's not so random.
I'm part of RC Drift Club, a group here in SoCal into RC drifting. We run an rc drift series to help expand this small niche in the rc world. So far, we've done 5 rounds and are entering our 6th and final round in two weeks.

Anyways, thought I'd post videos we have up. We decided to ditch the whole random drifting clips with music added for something more professional looking. We mimicked the Option DVD set up, with brackets, commentary, etc. I'm sure with each volume released, the content and such will get better and better. Our drivers keep getting better and better too, so tandems get more and more exciting with each round. We only have Round 1 completely editted and posted, but Round 2 is on the way. Anyways, on to the videos.

i cant help notice that all the ppl that enter are either fat asses of 12 yr old kinds... but i must say pretty entertaining. vid to long tho cant watch it all

I'm not fat, and I'm not 12. We have a huge range of drivers, from age 9 all the way to 60 something, in all different sizes and color. This is a niche of the hobby where competitions are actually friends and people help each other out. Hell, last round a driver's car broke and another driver lent him his car so he could continue competing.

Depends on what you're looking for. A cheap set up will go for around 150 and you still got electronic, depending on if it's ready to run or not. Then there are the high classes chassis which go anywhere from 200 to 500.

I have a CEN car that I got a long time ago off egay cause my inlaws got me a paypal gift certificate. It's used with an upgraded engine from what the previous owner said. The 4 body posts are broken but can be had from CEN. Comes with 2 bodies. I'll let it all go with controller and all for 200, I've never even started it.

nope, my digital camera is broken and I figured it would be useless without pictures. If it's someone that is gonna pick up I also have 3 gallons of fuel I'll throw in at no charge.

oh yeah, comes with two sets of wheels and tires, one set of slick hard for drifting and one set of soft grippy for road racing.

nice, i was into the monster truck like tamiya clod buster but i kinda got bored with it. i was going to get the rc drift but i ended up buying parts for my 240. cool video anyways.

Oh, it's tons of fun. Needless to say, both my RC and my Z are both money pits for more track time, hahaha. Next time I hit up Streets of Willow, I'm so bringing my RC car. Down times can be sooo boring.

Cheap asses? I;ve put in at least 700 into mine. Some people have bought thier chassis for over 400. Some people do pay to play.
