TOPDRIFT BATTLE RD3 is around the corner! Aug 25, 2007 - Saturday at the WSIR Walt James Stadium. This track will be setup in the most challenging way ever that can be allowed.



TOP 8 tandem eliminations!!! Gets exciting every time!!

(Pass top 8 you need to have a cage with sidebar. Solo and qualifying does not require a cage.)



At this time, the championship points are still up in the air. TOP 16 are still up for grabs for the championship. Earn your spot to be in the PROAM Nationals in Laughlin NV.



To register, Fill out registration via: www.justdrift.com - click on the flier on the front page for the registration page. We are going to cap at the usual 40 drivers on the competition. Bring you "A" game face on! Hope to see you next week!



Please be courteous to the media people, They will be walking all over the pits and talking to the you (drivers). An asian TV network Asia will be covering this event as well as local press. They will be asking for interviews and ride-alongs through out the day.

*If a media request a ride along. Please notify the staff so we can make arrangements for the ride along.



If you're not sure about competing, Maybe you just want to experience the competition level of driving, you can join too! There's a full day of driving before qualifying starts. See where you place amongst the top amateur drivers drifting has to offer. Plenty of practice time! Free lunch for the Driver and 1 Crew.



Tentative Schedule as follows:



7AM - Drive in/Setup

8AM - Check in/Registration/Tech Inspection

9AM 12PM - First set of practice

12PM - 1PM - Lunch break/Drivers meeting

1PM - 2PM - Last Set of Practice

2PM - Qualifying

4PM - 6PM - Top 16/Final 8/Finals

7PM- Team Tandem battle! (Registration is on site by 12PM)

BTW, you're pretty high in the points series now with the top 8 finish. I calculated it out and you are either 8th or 9th depending on what Stan placed. Joon is out and Josh supposedly got 16th from what he said so he's up in there as well.

John Russakoff scored points in FD this year so I'm not even sure if he's going to fill one of the spots at nationals seeing how he will retain his FD license. Joon quit the series and he will retain his FD license as well. That leaves 10 dudes on that list and 8 for sure available spots at nationals. Last year they let a few extra qualified JD drivers in there to fill the empty spots from the other regions so things are looking good for us.

I'm pretty sure nationals is november 9th - 11th.

Last year friday was a practice day, saturday was a proam qualifier where top 4 got FD licenses. Saturday night was a proam party. Then on sunday it was "0 point pros" vs. "top 20 qualifying proam dudes" from saturday to compete for the remaining licenses.

I hope they have prizes other than FD licenses this year, maybe some tires or a sponsorship or something like that. That would make the trip worth it for all the people not planning on doing FD.
