here's the thing, i have a 1990 fastback with a 1993 KA motor turbo but the head gasket blew and i want to get rid of the car to get a 240 coupe or something as a daily driver cuz of the fact that i drive 5 days a week on the freeway

what i need help on is if i should sell the car as a shell and take the motor out and the turbo.

i could sell the car, motor and tranny, and turbo kit by itself
:aw:

PLEASE NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS

heres a pic of the car

the car has a body kit, new paint, full stock interior, and a jdm cluster if that means anything

id replace the head gasket and keep the car or sell it as a whole...thats just me though, because if it were my only car (which i assume it is for u) then ur gonna have a lot of down time because there's no telling if the car is going to sell right away if u decide to take the motor out

^ hahaha...you can part-out/sell the turbo kit and use that money to fix the headgasket...oooorrrrr you can part-out/sell the turbo kit and the engine and get another engine, KA24DE, SR, or RB, or even better a ferrari engine.

I hope to god your kidding...

Anyhow, fix the head gasket and sell it as a whole. Thats one nice ride. Id pay up to 5 grand for that.

Then get a geo metro. Swear to god the most uncomfortable car ever, but damn it gets good gas mileage. Jk.

You could probably pick up something nice for 5 grand or under. If its just as a DD and what not, get a Buick. You can go past a cop at 100 and he wont even flince. Trust me on that one. Your just another old guy, his brain tricks him into thinking your not speeding lol. And the 3100 V6 gets 30 mpg highway. At least ours does. its a pretty good car.

just fix the head gasket and keep it. trust me!! i had a bad ass mr2 and blew a hole in the bottom end. would have cost me 2 grand for a new bottom end. but instead i parted it out and bout another one. but i should have kept that one with the blown motor. just fix it. dont runaway from your problems and fall into someone elses.

So so true. And if you are still determined to sell, a running car will bring in much more money than non running one.

get a FSM and do the headgasket job yourself

don't be a wuss

if you're afraid of working on cars, sell it, buy a stock car and never even think of modifying cars again

Doing the head isnt that hard. just follow the FSM and you'll be fine. hell, i did it, why cant you? if you do decide to do it remember to remove the head bolts in order... exc. a whole new gasket kit should only cost you $320 or something like that.... but you do have to have a free weekend to do it.
