whats up fam, i just got back from the dyno and there was a s14 sr20. i was talking to him cause there is not much sr20 240sx in tulsa and if there is there all in the dl. anyway i was talking to that guy and him claim that all he is a full exhaust and 3 or 4 other bolt on with a frontmont intercooler and i believe a stock blow off value and the stock turbo. he made 280 rwhp and either 270 or 290 ft lbs of torque at 14lbs of boost. but give me some info and see what ya'll think. give me some info on the s14 blk top.

s14 sr has a T28BB it can make 280whp.
my car makes 270.

i think you're thinking of the T25. that can only make like 240whp

ok so the s14 can make more power at 14lbs cause he was telling me that some dude had the same setup and made 268whp.

that sounds about right.
i suck at drag racing so i can only run 14s haha
but im sure a skilled drag racer could do that with that setup

...i think drag racing is gay. just in case you were wondering
:D

yeah it can do it i almost hit the 300 mark with mine and that car will probably go a little faster in the quarter mile with a better driver

Yah most cars here couldn't do very well in drag anyways,

drift car is not going to do that well.... Super stiff suspension, stretched high psi tires, plus mega camber, to have little contact patch,

but I'm sure if it was setup correctly a couple people here could get some good times,

quarter miles dont excite me, so I hate on them. :)

my car made 289/282tq at 14 psi with stock everything including ecu at 14.5 psi with a 4.36 gear and drift alignment it did a [email protected] 112 front mount and full 3 inch exhaust.

This thread only happened because, the s14 sr20 owner didn't adhere to the rules "when talking about your setup"! Always subtract 20hp and 20tq and quarter mile times Always add 1 sec...

So what is the whp on a stock t28 at a safe daily driver boost? I am considering sending off my stock t25 to be rebuilt as a t28 or big t28. Can someone explain the differences between the t28 and big t28 also. I searched around but haven't really got an answer yet. Sorry, I'm a newbie to turbo sizing. Thanks

i dont think you are understanding what he is saying. you could run 20psi in a little t25. after 15psi, it just blows hot air. like the t25's on 2G DSM's, and the K03 on VW's. you can spin that little compressor as fast as you want, it just WONT make the power. it sounds like it could just be a funny number from a dyno. a dyno number doesnt mean a whole lot. my car mad 305whp and 315 torque @ 15psi on my stock turbo. but who knows what it actually makes. it was on a dynapack, and that HP was measured at the hubs. who knows how they compensated the weight of my wheels, etc.

its not that he was running some crazy amounts of boost that made those numbers. its got to be the dyno. on a turbo that small, you are limited by its dinky size.

i made 240 whp on a t25 with basic bolt ons at .9 bar. i could have pushed it more but feared my turbos life and such. but i but it up a little under 1 bar and when i took the turbo off it had minor shaft play. there was none before i went over 12 psi. a.k.a. .9 bar
