I have a 95 zenki, the shift boot get really heated up and everything around it is really hot too. Can anyone help me out?

there's supposed to be a thick rubber boot underneath, is that there? just a thought.

get a tranny oil cooler...hahaha. Check for tranny fluid, you might be low.

Do you know how much abuse a tranny goes through? Its normal. Just make sure u have 2.4 qts of oil in there. :wackit:
EDIT: 75w90 is stock for the MT and DIFF

Exactly. People make this out to be rocket science or something. You have a hot exhaust underneath you right next to the tranny tunnel. Get used to it, heat wrap it, or sell your car.

When I open the door on my car on a hot day, I can feel a little heat wave come from underneath the car from my resonator/test pipe and downpipe... and I can usually feel it around my shifter a bit as well.

i only notice on extremely hot days. other than that, its fine. like everyone one else said though its normal. check to see if the boot is there.
