I have a 95blacktop sr20det(S14)
there are 2 vacuum lines coming out from under the throttle body that have a j shape towards the front of the car, that are just plugged on mine!!!is this ok or should they be connected to a specific place?
also there is a vacuum line that goes from the side of the manifold in between the engine and manifold to the BOV, is the the correct line to hook up to the BOV?
does it even make a difference which line i connect to certain parts?
Srry i can get a pic because there is no room to get the cam under the intercooler piping,
any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, the BOV should have a line back to the manifold. As for the two lines from the throttle body, i would assume that they are coolant lines regulate the throttle body. If they are, you wont need them. Please post pictures for better answers.

IIRC the one that comes off the TB itself is for the charcoal canister.
The two coming off your Intake manifold (iirc the s14 is alittle diff) should be to the WG and one to the Fuel Pressure reg, unless your running aftermarket or something.
Snap a pic if you want I can tell you in a milsec

here is a pic of a vacuum line that is on the left side of the throttle body and goes down towards the oil filter area, probably the fuel pressure one you guys talked about?

this is a pic from below the intercooler pipe, those are the 2 lines that are plugged up, is this correct, they were left unplugged after my engine rebuild, so i plugged them up since it was causing loss of power.

Just use some checking and common sense on that extra one off the TB.
Try hooking up the BOV to it and rev the engine (so it hits 0 vac when revved) i doubt your building boost out of load haha.
If the bov opesn that that nipple is not a check valve or one way nipple for the charcoal and can be used for your FPR. If it doesnt open then it is that and leave it capped off.
Ill have to come help you out with some of the other stuff we talked over already.
kind of funny the LACK of ATTENTION to detail a former military man would have rebuilng your setup for you

There are only 3 lines...
You use the top two lines for WG, BOV and FPR. The bottom one is for the EVAP canister and it should be plugged up if you have deleted this component.

The EVAP canister is located to the left of the coldpipe, right by the backside of the headlight.

thx, gonna go take a look, just curious though, could it have been removed is it something that the engine needs?
i saw a similar thread on nico and the were talking about not having the canister, so no need to run the lines into it??
dude was a foreigner so i wasnt sure if he was asking or telling someone that.

the canister is for air care.. blah blah whatever. screw the environment. we are all doomed anyways lol..
so if the canister is out already then cap off that stuff and if you look near your driver side engine mount, there is a hard line that runs from the fuel tank up the passenger side and along the firewall then the side of the engine. cap it off or put a breather on it. its used for the canister.
this should give you an idea

its for emissions, but you wont pass with or without it, so just get rid of it.
