So, i put my Megan Manifold on last Saturday and replaced the gasket. Well, here in Germany, those gaskets aren't easy to come by. So i went to a parts store. They had metal gaskets there. I found one that would work perfectly, but would require to open up the holes a bit. So i did that and installed.

not 3 FKN days and the gasket breaks.. i mean car sounds like a truck again. A buddy of mine has an OEM metal Nissan gasket that i will be getting off of him. Would it be possible to put some RTV sealant on it to make sure it doesn break? I don't want to do this job a 3rd time.. its a PITA as it is!

No.

Use new locking nuts, M8x1.25.

Weld a transmission to exhaust downpipe mount, make sure it is taunt. You can also drop some weld on the nuts after they are tight.

I have had good luck with that nylon, it melts and stays put. One time use, but they are only like 70c each.

Or use NEW locking tabs for the turbo nuts, and regular nuts/no washers. If you bend them then hammer the tabs agains the nuts they'll never move unless the tab breaks or you bend it off. I have so many dang s13 sr manifolds, if I had another stock turbo setup, i'd more than likely weld the o2 housing / manifold straight to the turbo. Stock turbos r shit.
