Stupid question for a small problem.

After recently getting my t28 in I've noticed that after I release the gas and throw it into neutral my rpm drops really low (like a little lower then 600rpm) and the car almost dies (the engine, e-brake, seat belt light etc go on for a split second). It goes right back up after though. It only happens when I'm boosting. It hasn't actually turned off on me though.

I'm still using a stock sr maf and fuel injectors. I'm planning to upgrade them when I get the money. I was wondering if my stock maf and injectors were related to it, and after upgrading them would stop the problem.

Some parts of my setup that might help answer the question:
S13 Sr20 Redtop
S14 T28
Apexi Intake
Greddy Spec M FMIC
Greddy Type RS BOV
Tomei Exhaust Manifold
Tomei Elbow
HKS Actuator
Boxer Series A/F Management

Boosting at 1.2 bar

BTW I got the t28 in at the same time with the mani and elbow. My old setup didn't have the problem.

is you MAF just floating there? a Buddy had a simliar prob, the connection for the MAF was loose we pushed in on better and put a zip tie around the connector and secured the Air Filter and he hasnt had a problem yet.

Also did you route the Craank case/ Valve cover Vent "T" to the Turbo intake pipe should be a little 1/2 hole.

You're running your bov atmospherically. If you recirc it then you won't have that problem.

Not completly True, Im running a Greddy Type-R and I dont have that problem.

Other factors are involed too.

If you route all vacuum lines and the Breather "T" as if OEM it solves that problem as it did on mine and 2 other of my friends swaps

My afm is secure. And the hose from my intake pipe to the valve cover is good too. I might just try recirc it, hopefully that would stop it. Just to be sure I just need to get the fitting and I'm good right.

Thanks guys for the help, this is actually the second time !ZAR! helped me out.

Is it possible you have a vac leak and when your boosting it makes it worse. Mine did that for a while until I had found that one of my couplers had kinked up letting some extra air in. It also smoked until i found that vac leak.

Ouch...kinda scared now...lol. But if there is a vac leak wouldn't I be experiencing it at other times other then during compressor surge.

...I'm also going to assume you have engine management to account for running rich on decel after blowing off. He hasn't yet.

IMO running atmospheric is stupid in the first place unless you plan on sounding, "cool".

If it was boost leak then he would be having issues on accel as well.

I would suggest retuning your engine management to account for the new turbo.
