I've heard of it, but can anyone shed some light on it? How do you do it?does it work? Excuse me for being a cheap bastard who can't afford a fender roller.

What.... seriously?

I've heard of a steel bar, baseball bat, and fender roller. But newspaper? This I gotta see.

Newspaper pull is only used when you only need to pull like like a few mm.

Assuming you already have overfenders/modified fenders you just place 3/4" thick worth of newspapers on the side of the tire, disconnect the shock and lower the car to where you think your max travel will be, the papers will compress and VERY slightly push the fender outward. This is if you're trying to achieve paper thin clearance, if you have to ask then forget about it.

Only other thing I have heard some people try with news paper is to just use a hammer and hold newspaper over the part you are going to hammer. Shit which method you choose depends on how much of a pull you need. I needed to use a big mallet and baseball bats to pull my rears out like 2.5".

Wow, I've heard those terms "newspaper pull" all the time, but didn't connect those dots. I thought they just meant that the clearance between the fender and tire was as thin as a page from a newspaper.:loco:

17x9 +8 215/40 on an s13, and as low as possible basically. My fenders are completely rolled and I think a real mild pull would make it look a lot better.

I pulled mine with the thin end of a baseball bat. Make sure to use heat, I was lucky to find a heat gun in the garage, but a blowdryer should work too. People made fun of me for it and told me to use a roller, and then they did theirs with a roller, and their fender lips are all buckled and mine are smooooth, haha, bats win.

Here's a good video, with the awesomest Zenki ever.
