With all the local cars getting jacked I knew it was a matter of time, tonight I found someone had scaled our fence at the shop and pilfered a few cars. Be on the look out for a very clean set of brand new Z32 front brakes, silver finish rotors, 4/5lug, cross drilled, and brand new 26mm aluminum calipers, those came off my business associate's car. Surprisingly they took the time to put the wheels back on, but left enough lugnuts laying around that I noticed. They also left a wheel lock key and floor jack laying in the lot so I must have spooked them off when I pulled up. Two other cars were open but nothing missing, my own car was attempted as well but they couldn't get the Rays cap off, one of them is just chewed up from someone prying on it.
For anyone who waiting on parts, give me a few days, I've got to spend tomorrow adding razor wire to the fence and pulling all the valuable stuff off whatever is outside.
If the thief in question is reading this, please come back. I'm here all night with a .45 Colt.

Who's parts got stolen
1. Go buy a set of 300zx calipers
2. Go buy another rays cap Or keep the one that is missed up.
3. There is always going to be someone out there to steal stuff.
Stay in or get out. I cant really be on the look out in LA but I track stuff on ebay. Good luck on the razor wire.

R I will keep an eye and ear open before I leave town. I'm pretty scared nowadays too, hearing stories of 240s getting stolen. Now I keep my car garaged.

Get a few dogs R- damn that sucks. Atlanta seems to have rashes of car thefts, I've never really heard of anything like that up here in Chicago. Aside from the permanent rash of ITRs and civic hatches being stolen.

yea, that really sucks about the amount of thefts we've had around here lately. mine got broken into 2 years ago at a shop, but it wasn't nearly as bad as most of the stuff that's been happening around here now. i'll keep a look out for the parts you mentioned though.

The pattern seems to be that they're moving to 240s... better watch out!

Down there maybe- nobody even knows what a 240 is up here, they've long since rusted away or slid into ditches/trees after sliding gloriously across snow and ice.

The plans were to simply tell them to get on the ground and stay there while I called the police. Obviously I'm not about to kill/maim anyone, but people don't tend to listen if you only have a baseball bat.
I spent the night in a chair by the back door, no one decided to come back so at least I can now work on the fence in daylight and get it secure again.
BTW, thanks for the neg rep points for me suggesting I should actually do something about having property stolen. I guess everyone who's car gets stolen shouldn't care about it either or do anything to prevent it next time.

Shit man that sucks. Almost every area of Atlanta has been hit now.
That really sucks that someone like this gets their shit stolen. Especially when they are generous enough to help us out in tuff situations. I seriously hope it wasnt someone in our community that visited Russ only scope his goods.
So were you just randomly going to the shop and they ran? Or did you notice next day?

I had a friend who needed a BMC, we rode up late Sunday to grab it. The other guy who works here, Bill, had just been by an hour earlier so it was between the time we were each here. They left a busted ass floorjack in the lot but the police doubted they'd find prints on it.
I generally don't advertise the address to new people and meet them locally to exchange parts, but it's very possible it's someone who's gained my trust by continually buying parts, only to come back and nab shit.

Next step is a junk yard dog!
Hopefully they grabbed what they wanted and wont return. The razor wire should deter street wanderers(sp?)

go down to the corner store and hire a small crew of Illegals. They will handle it
Damn that is schiesty as fuck stealing the calipers. The whole situation seems kind of "convenient". To think some dude might be tracking you to jack your stuff is freaky.
At least 5-6 years ago when your 240 got jacked it probably wasn't targeted.

well, if u did ahem shoot one of them while they were breaking into your complex ehem, you would not be charged because you are defending your property,

Im not gonna disclose the location of his shop for obvious reasons. But it down around the airport kinda. Pretty far away from the car thefts in gwinett Co.
Still. I think there are people reading about the recent thefts of 240sx's. And its sparking new thefts and robbery's. Its fuckin sick that people take our shit after we work so hard for it.

I can't stand lowlifes like that. The attempt to steal the brakes and make the car look like it was still together makes it even worse, like he was trying for murder instead of theft.
I'm in the area, so if I hear anything about those parts for sale or have somebody try anything like that around here I'll give you what help I can.
