I'm selling my daily driver 1997 Altima GXE to pick up another great deal that I just came across. This car has been very good to me, needing very little maintenance eventhough I've put alot of miles on it for work. It does in fact get 32-35 mpg if I don't have the AC on. Not bad! Here's some info:
Everything works- PW, PL, AC, cruise, stereo, power antenna
173xxx miles
Clean title in hand
Recently replaced distributor, fuel pump, spark plugs, valve cover gasket
tires are still pretty good
front pads and rotors have about 18-20k on them
interior is in fair condition. no rips or tears, but not terribly clean. maybe 7 out of 10.
body is in fair condition. virtually no rust. driver side fender is rough, and some apparent key marks around the car. the rust is practically nonexistant. the car cleans up pretty decent actually.
The only negatives:
The car occasionally idles low and/or stalls. It only really does it if you accelerate hard and then take it out of gear. I find this never to be a problem as I drive it like a grandma to get the good mpg. I never took care of it cause it never is an issue with how i drive.
The driver door lock cylinder seems to be frozen. therefore i'm forced to unlock the pass. door first. i was gonna put keyless entry on it for cheap, but never got around to it.
That's all I can think of for now. If I think of anything else that's relevant, I will post up immediately.
I'm asking $1800. KBB says just over $2000 for fair condition, so I'm hoping this will be a quick seller.
Let me know if you have questions. Feel free to respond here or email to [email protected]
I'm in Columbus, about a mile from campus

+1 for 1st gen Altima's.

I can deff. vouch for Altima's because my brother has owned his '97 since 100K miles(Now at 199K miles), and has beat the living shit out of it since day one.

Not one single problem with it.

GL!
