is there any 6 point roll cage that will alow use of a back seat in a s13 fast back? I have a 3 year old daughter an need the back seat for her, we have some up coming drift events in hawaii and they require a 6 point cage for tandem battles. I qualified our last event but had to forfit my spot for the tandem battles............if any one has pics of a cage with back seats that would be great .....thanks.

thats sounds kinds dangerous... but could work if you get removable cross brace and harness bar. Autopower make 6pt cages with those options. Just make sure the bars going to the wheel wells are well padded[?], incase of a side impact, dont want a metal bar rite there! good luck bro

It could be done but is not safe, especailly for a child. Even though the bars might not be in the way. Buy a $500 beater. With the cage it adds so many more things that can be deadly if something happens thats not suppose to.

WTF, I think it may be time to think about getting a daily driver man.

Either use your car for a track vehicle, or use it to transport your daughter. A track car is no place for a kid.

I just wouldn't do it. Buy a DD, and get the roll cage later...
A race/track car is not for taking your 3 year old around.

I dont know how much this thread pissed me off. I dont have any kids, but someday I would.
How in the shit would you think this is safe, why would you even ask this question. Get another 240, they arent that expensive and track your car. Like THATGUY said the track is no where safe for a child of that age. I cant believe you asked that question.

Take out the back seat and weld in a mount for a child safety seat on the hump. Hard mount that and then mount in a bucket when she turns 6. Everyone needs protection in a caged car.

horrible idea. cages do not belong in streetcars. you should wear a helmet in your car if you have a cage in it end of story.

it could have 400hp and be safe if you dont drive it like an asshat... now put metal bars all around her, not safe. it wouldnt be safe to put one of your friends in that situation either.

The safety 21 6 pt cage will work fine.
I have a daughter and I dont see what the big deal is.
Bolt in the cage, take the appropriate safety precautions and there you go. I'll post a pic of the back of the cage tonight.
As far as street driving, with the safety21 cage you can just pull the front to keep the bar away from the front passengers head. Then weld in the seat mount for that badass baby recaro that is cooler than 99% of the peoples seats on this forum and strap her in and let it rip.
How old is she?

There are fucking metal bars for the kids to hit their heads on.
Does that not register with you people who think it's a good idea.
I don't care how much padding you use and where the bars are located.
Cages do not belong on the street and certainly I wouldn't drive around with my kid in a car with a cage.
It actually is more dangerous to drive on the street with a cage then no cage. If you have a helmet during track driving then fine.
