I took my engine to get rebuilt at a shop after blowing it last year.
After getting the engine back I realized I didnt get boost from the turbo to the engine, the shop kept telling me it was my tunning(JWT), that they had it set to rich, and it was causing me to have no power, keep in mind I am no tech, know only the basic stuff.
it seemed like the turbo was spooling but that the air never made it past to the intercooler pipes, I tried tons of stuff but couldnt find the problem , so i figured the turbo was bad, I recentley purchased the GT2871R, and new mani, to replace the stock one since i figured i had probably blown the turbo also.
yesterday when pulling the turbo out this is what i saw:

Notice the gasket , its from the pipe that connects the air intake to turbo,
since the turbo was working fine before turning the car in to the shop, I figured either they took this apart and missed it when assembling it, or they replaced my turbo with another one, that was assembled incorrectly.

anyways, just to be sure, do you think this alone would cause that no air whatsoever would get to my engine,??? the blow off didnt even sound when set to the softest position.
I actually am hoping that this is the only problem cause that would mean my turbo and engine are all good!

Hope i didnt confuse you guys with the long messy text, I am typing in a hurry.

I usually get a crack in the Manifold to turbo gasket. This causes noise and loss of power. I also tighten manifold to block nuts frequently to prevent possible loss of exhaust gas.

If you have a HKS style BOV, the screw should be "halfway" or fully tight to prevent flow, you have a boost leak somewhere if your boost gauge never shows boost. it could be somewhere between BOV, Hotpipe, cold pipe, go section by section replacing worm clamps with T-Bolts whenever possible. Make sure hoses to wastegate actuator and actuator itself are in good shape also.

If your T25 has little shaft play and little oil visible chances are it's still good. If it is a T28 and now you have 2 of them, PM me if you wanna sell one :)

It showed boost on my boost guage, it would go all the way up to 16-17psi,
but it seems like the air would never make its way to the BOV or engine, i tightened the BOV then lossened it, and no air flowing thru it.

anyways.. yea i will prob sell the T28, there is no shaft play, and there was no oil execpt for what we spilled on it when taking the lines off.
I also have the
stock exhaust mani,
turbo dump pipe,
and intake manifold and
turbo lines for sale,
