My car isn't starting, so I've been trying to figure out why. I did a voltage drop test on the battery when trying to start the car, and the voltage dropped from like 11.7V to about 7V, so i think i might have bad wires/connections/bla bla bla.
Now I'm trying to test the resistance of various connections and wires with an ohm-meter. This is what I've done so far...
First, took out the battery, then i put the positive lead on the positive battery cable, then i put the negative lead on this bolt... http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x4/boost_it7/?action=view&current=100_1394.jpg
which I think is the starter ground. Anybody want to correct me on that? When i did this, there was no change on the screen of the meter, which makes me think i did something wrong.
Is there any way i can test the connection between these?.....http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x4/boost_it7/?action=view&current=100_1395.jpg
I think these are the wires that send power to the starter, but I'm not sure.
To be quite honest, I suck with electrical, so any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Pics would be great too. I like being able to see what people are talking about.

first is it a ka or sr second to test you started disconnect the blk/y strip cable that gose to your starter and make a test wire that connect to the wire from the starter and strip open the wire from the other end and tap it to the positive post of your battery if it starts then you have a problem with you ignition switch wires which is easy to fix take a blk 10 gauge wire long enough to connect from you start to you ignition switch. now here is the important part take off the plastic cover from your steering column after that look for four wires colored w,blk,blk/w strip,blk/y strip cut the blk/y strip wire but cut it 6" or so from the ignition switch then take the blk 10 gauge wire that you ran from the started that gose throw the main wire harness boot on the fire wall that gose to your ignition switch and connect it to the blk/y strip wire from the igniton and test with your key it if starts reassemble every thing you took off and your problem is solved. most important test before you cut any thing.

It's a KA24DE.
I appreciate your help, and i think i get what you're saying, but some form of punctuation would make your post SOOOOO much easier to understand.

that big bolt with the wire on it.. is your power supply that your starter gets from the battery.. the starter grounds itself thru the casing of the starter into the block.
the best way to test to see if its your starter or your ignition wires.. is what s13monkey said.. to take that connector that comes from your starter http://s187.photobucket.com/albums/x4/boost_it7/?action=view&current=100_1395.jpg
that one and get a wire and jump it to your positive post of your battery if it starts cranking then its your ignition wiring that has problems.

Okay, so what kind of wire should i use for this test wire? Sorry, but I know almost nothing about electrical.

You have a weak battery. 11.7V at rest is too low to start the car, period. You should see at a minimum 12.8V in order to start it. Recharge or replace the battery.

Yeah, the battery isn't holding any charge right now. I've had to charge it like 3 times already, so I think I'm gonna have to replace it.
