I left the car alone for a while as it was my last year in high school and i was setting money aside for college. While going to college I repainted it, and did a few other body modifications, painted the stock se's, rs*r exhaust ect ect...

Shortly after I got my car back from the swap the new ka,2 months old and not even turbo yet, it spun a bearing. I had that fixed and then another 3 months pass and cyl 4 ring is trash. With well over 5 grand invested in a motor that kept letting me down I gave up on it. So here we are today with a new motor, z brakes, mb's and a few other goodies....ENJOY

Thanks for the comments. Yea sucks that my ka-t project didn't go as planned but it's ok. I plan on buying a s13 in the future and i will do an AMS built ka-t setup in that car.

the motor had block bored 40 over, knife edge crank, clevite bearing, new oem rods, arias pistons, bottom end was completely blueprinted and balanced, arp main studs, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, ported/polished head, stock valvetrain, 91 cams, fidanza flywheel....it was still n/a when all the issues started...and there wasn't any type of engine managment as it was still n/a..i was just going to do a greddy kit with fmic

Wow, that fuckin blows that your motor was fully built and it was spinning bearings and shit on more or less stock conditions. What were you doing when you spun the bearing? My KA just recently overheated and had scoring on cylinders 3 + 4. I am getting a rebuilt KA on monday.

Sounds like a shietty shop...

Anyways, welcome to SRs...becareful not to spun the bearings on these too. I suggest you start looking into some oil pressure and water temp gauges :rawk:

I converted to manual in Jan of 06. The automatic tranny went out on me so figured that was the best time.
