i recently bought a t28 and a xs power manifold, but when i go to put on the manifold it doesn't go on all the way. by that i mean where the stock oil catch can used to be, where u bolt the screw in, that gets in the way i cant push it in no more , does any1 know of anything i can do. i thought about sanding it (shaving) down, so maybe it can fit, but i am scared i might mess up the head. has any one done this before i don't need that spot no more because i got an aftermarket oil catch can. if anyone installed an aftermarket manifold and had this problem please lmk. i have pics that i will post up.

You cut off that protrusion on the head. Common problem with aftermarket manifolds.

Not that I look especifically for this, but this seems more like an SS issue compared the MR.
That' really blows that you have to do that to your head...that is life. Dremel away.

why even bother with the tubular manifold? OEM wont break and will have better throttle response. For the amount of power a T28 can push, your not sacrificing a whole lot by using the OEM manifold.

^ this is pretty ture in the case of small t25 turbines ^
*in the pics*
if you look closly it doesnt even look like the mani is bolted down all the way.
I can see your exaust ports on your head...
what gives?
maybe it will clear when properly seated.

he can't bolt it down b/c the manifold is touching the head.
grind the head down.

The SSAs all do that, any kind of search would have yielded that information. Grind it down, it's just a chunk of aluminum.
