Theres a car "festival" for japanese cars, 1958-2007. Not only a car exhibition, but drifting competition for $100, 35 driver limit.

Hi Petex,

Thanks for signing up! Sorry for the lack of information coming out about the event.

I'll have the schedule shortly, but expect to be there before 8am so we can get maximum practice in. The competition will start at around 2pm to finish in time for the awards ceremonies for Motoring J-Style at large which will be at 4pm. I'll have a more concrete schedule shortly. Ditto on the driver's list.

It was a good show and had a nice turn out. I wish the parking was better planed and put more of the same cars together. The AE86 guys were all over the place with only a few 240sx guys. Good show and cant wait to see if they have another one.

You think that was bad..try 3 out of 12...Well i had a blast either way. It was a great time to try out my new motor and car since my old ca18 blew up at Buttonwillow the weekend before. It was also GREAT seeing all my old buddies i used to staff with back in the days of DriftDayNorcal (at golden gate fields). Hmmm is this a sign of DDNorcal coming back from the dead? We will see.

yeah i think the judging was a little harsh too, i linked the whole course all qualifying three runs and didnt make it. i wanted those 3 extra runs!! haha, fun as hell though, i wish they did that there every week.

yep yep, Great Event, I was just there for more seat time personally and was not expecting anything but I know there were some good ones which did not get qualified!! I would pay $100 any day for all day event like that !!

This was great for my first event. I think I did really well, until I got kick-out for leaking power-steering fluid everywhere. :eek: It was worth the money, but I wish I had gotten some picture's of my car sliding...maybe you did? It was a blue RPS13 with bronze 5Zigen's up front and unknown bronze rims in the back.

jdm palace, you had the baddest ass car at that whole show, too bad that course seemed a little slow for your car haha, musta been a handful out there. jstyle, my first event too. i dont have any photos of you but i remember you being in my group and my friend was filming everyone in it so ill post that up when i get a chance. very fun event, and i hope they can do it more often even though the course was tiny. way way way better than nothing. i think if they got the money to get lights out there they would probably do night drift, because they used to run flat track out there past midnight for years.http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e284/kelliwhaley/summer07223.jpg

Thanks Dude, Well it is fast but I don't know if that was the problem for me keep spinning out, I think the car just has a little too much power for newbi, This was my second time with the car on the track and still trying to dial everything, and I don't eve have front sway bar so that brings out a little understeering for the car but overall I had great time and very happy with the result !!
