Wiring Z32 MAF on RB20det

I have the diagrams, but they dont seem to make any sense. The JWT page shows the RED/GRN wire as the signal wire and the White being the 12v wire. Correct me if i am wrong, but doesnt red usually imply power?? I would like advice from someone who has done this please....here is a pic rb20 left, z32 right.
