Compression check, check the coilpack wires...

you think it could be the head gaskit?

compression check will tell you which cylinder is low. also check your coolant and your oil, if it looks like a mocha than you've got a problem with your head gasket

What were your compression numbers? Did you even bother to check the basics BEFORE you pulled the head?

You're not giving us very much info to go with, give us some more info in your posts. I also noticed that you were posting in another thread looking for another engine. Why? Have you determined whether or not yours is worth fixing? Are you sure that your car needed to have the head pulled? Did you eliminate the simple stuff like broken/loose plug wires, faulty dist cap/rotor, check for engine codes - like faulty injector or bad MAF.

Here's some advice, next time you get the itch to go out and break the law by attending those utterly ridiculous street gatherings (thanks for giving the cops something else to waste their manpower on, instead of protecting the peace) , you might want to run through the basic engine performance checks. This will help keep you're engine alive and kicking in the event that you decide to show off your "drifting" skills by burning donuts in the parking lot.

Basics:

change oil
top off coolant, brake fluid, and clutch master
perform tune up with new plugs (wires if needed), dist cap & rotor
check tire air pressure (dont forget spare) - keep you from blowing a tire in your donut trials

ya dude i did check the basics the reason i might sound dumb is because its my first nissan and i do know what im doing when it comes to cars i do work as c tech for firstone and am a graduate of WYOTECH of longbech and i found out what the problem was by performing a simple leakdown test it was the rings and the reason i would like to buy another moter is to fully build and tune my ka that i have now so i can just drop in the new one and have something to play with

Okay that's all fine but, you could have just come on here to update the thread with the fact that you found the problem. It keeps us from wasting our time on your thread.

Wyotech sucks BTW.....I graduated from there, up in San Jose. Freakin waste of 10 grand. The only thing they taught me that I didn't already know was how to drive a shop car into the building. Buncha hacks IMO. Well hopefully you are getting more outta them than I did.

Glad you found the problem.
