(what you see is what you get)

Specs:
http://www.tees-usa.com/gias.html
This is the Gias CFRP, Gradiation with low cushion. $1775 MSRP...

The story:
My friend essentially sold these to me for super cheap... the selling price reflects the price. But after a few days of number-crunching, I can't justify keeping this particular seat. It hasn't been mounted yet, but I have tossed the box (and accidentally tossed the instructions/stickers with the seat).

I think I also misplaced the hardware that comes with the seat, so if you do buy hardware by yourself I will reinburse you for the cost of the hardware.

I highly prefer local pickup, but shipping can also be arranged for an extra charge.

You should just give it to your rooomate.

I will take that into consideration when figuring out next month's rent.

Nice seat. You wouldn't happen to have the bride certificate with it would you? I ask because there's a bunch of fake Gias seats floating around. I had the bad luck of purchasing one from AutoWerkz in City of Industry. That's maybe why your buddy sold them to you for so cheap. Anyway, to be certain it's real put a magnet next up to the reclining mechanism. If it sticks then it's fake. The real brackets are made of aluminum, not steel. Just a heads up to prevent what I had to go through.

pimp seat. i'm sure there isn't a company yet that has replicated this seat. You can tell by the nice ass carbon kevlar backing.

Good point; I didn't think of this. I'll double check and find out tomorrow.

Most of Bride's reclinable seats are pretty heavy anyhow, so I didn't really bother to think when I took the pics earlier today.

Be aware, if you look on ebay there's a seat made of kevlar that's identicle to the Bride Gias. And yes there are fake Gias seats. The reason I know is because I went to Tees-USA and they determined it was fake. Who better to ask? Well, again, just be sure it's real so you don't waste your money like I did. Also, the seat falls apart in a matter of weeks.

Funny, mine did. I know the seller's been here a long time and I'm sure he isn't purposely selling something that isn't what it is. I'm only noting the possibility that it could be fake because I have first hand knowledge of purchasing a fake seat, going to Bride and asking them why their rails aren't fitting correctly with their seat, having them put an authentic seat next to mine, noting the differences, and coming to the conclusion - fake. I did inform Shino (one of the guys over at Tee's-USA) about the shop where I purchased it from (Autowerkz in the City of Industry). Just be aware, sometimes shops will try to dupe you into buying fake products. I say this because they (Autowerkz, aka fx.motorsports aka other names i can't remember right now) are back on ebay selling the same damn seat. Wurd.
