ok well I went to Venus's web site. they do have some engines listed. funny thing is the only ones with prices were the monthly specials and those were cut motors.i.e. already out of the clip so you do not get stuff like the radiator and the stock intercooler with piping and such etc.
Now, my advice to you is go and get one of there motors if you think its a good deal.

89240sx~ You gotta chill man, I would suggest having a bit of respect for Drift Freaq's ad. &nbsp;If the asking price seems to high for what you can afford either pm or keep your concerns to yourself. &nbsp;

The price that Drift Freaq is asking is rather reasonable considering the mileage and having Black Top lineage. &nbsp;

I have dealt with various SR swaps and at $1000 for a SR may seem very reasonable to the unwary buyer. Odds are you will spend much more $ to successfully complete the swap and also spend tremendous hours looking for odd and end pieces. &nbsp;I think in the long run the $1000 swap ends up costing much more in time and wasted trips looking for missing parts. &nbsp;Additonally, with the motor cut out of the car you do not really know the true mileage on the swap that you have just invested $ in. &nbsp;For all I know it could have had over 100k miles on the clock before it was shipped here. &nbsp;

I think Drift freaq is a very reputable seller considering all the great prices he is able to offer to the 240 sx community.

im pretty shure he is he just came off really atrong to me and i know the black top isnt worht that kind of money especially if its missing all the pannels on the front clip sounds like hes got a cut motor the red tops i have seen go for 1000 minus shipping and they are complete i know i bought two of them and all to gether they cost me 5,000 to ship and they have everything i need to do swaps on both my cars i just hate when people cpitalize on other people not every body is mechanically inclined and knows what areally good &nbsp;deal was so i appologize to driftfreak and wont bug him any more but if he wants some hook ups and anybody else i know where to &nbsp;look

just to point out a few thinks 89240sx, if im not mistaken, there were no 94 redtops like you stated earlier (that's first year for s14 in japan), and the s13 blacktop is worth more than a redtop because its the same but likely lower mileage since they came out of later 180sx's (96+ i believe)

Ok well I will respond to 89240sx, first off when you say my mom bought me the car gee thats really funny. You don't even know me. I was selling Japanese engines and transmissions back in the 80's in the San Francisco bay area. I had a company called Sun Performance Imports. Triple S engines , FJ20's , 2TG's , etc.. . I started out with 510's in 1979. I owned ten 240z's . I wrote and was tapped for information for tech columns in U.F.O newsletters. In case your wondering thats United Five ten Organization. I was also a member of Norcal 510. I attendend De Anza Auto tech at the time the 3rd best automotive technology school in the nation. I drove up to the dealership in San Mateo in 1989 &nbsp;when the 240sx came out and test drove one.
I have been into Nissans for some 20 plus years . I have been involved with 240sx's for the last 3 years and some of my best friends are Japanese (if that matters at all) . Now if you are going to personally attack me on my own turf I am going to want to come out swinging. Yet I hold back and try to be civilized about this.

Unless you have some miraculous hook up at Venus-Auto I believe youcan't get a sr20det redtop front clip w/ all the body panels for a grand. Otherwise I would have a 240sx with a sr20det and a silvia front end conversion by now. 1000 for a front clip with body panels I would love to see prices like that. I apologize to you if you truly get s13 front clips for a g. If you do then pm me I would love to have a sr 240

and
2 - 21g's for a 94 gtst would be a decent deal, but that'd be an r33, as 94 was the first year for r33 gtr's and second for r33 gtst's if i am not mistaken

Ok look, now that my for sale post has been completely hi jacked and turned into a rolling advertisement for Venus auto. I am going to say two things.
One, 89240sx you sent me a nasty email that I did not respond to, why? because it was not worth responding. Basically you have to realize that if you want to share a good deal with these guys you don't start by flaming someone else's for sale post.
Two, you assume a lot of stuff without asking questions. most clips that come in do not have body panels on them and ones that do that panels are usually totalled. yes there are some clips that come through with panels on them. People tend to, use, sell or keep them. Its that simple. Now you send me an email asking me who the large socal importer is that I get my engines from is? Well after the way you have been towards me I do not desire to do business with you.
Ok, now I was not going to say anything about Venus auto,but since this has turned into a thread where people are championing them and it is my for sale thread I am going to say this.
They have a very questionable reputation. I have seen high mileage clips i.e. 90-100,000 plus . For a engine from Japan that is extremely high mileage. Japanese car owners are not like us. A car gets 3-5 years of life on it and they get rid of it for a new car. Thats the way they are . Now given that driving in Japan is expensive between taxes ,parking spaces and insurance its fair to say a high mileage clip is abused.
I can bet the clips Venus is letting go for $1000 if they are are 132k clips . Why ? because any importer can get a lot more for the low mileage ones and no one wants a high mileage one unless its dirt cheap which $1000. is.

ok now that thats been said I am going to request two things
One. please if you are interested in buying the clip let me know.
Two, if you are not interested in my clip, please keep your comments off my thread. If you want to start a new thread about the great deals you think you can get go ahead, just do not hi jack my for sale thread to do it.

I am starting to feel like a moderator here and have even thought about locking my own thread because of you guys.

&nbsp;Now i am going to say this obveoisly you know jack shi* about engines and deals.If you want a r33 motor get one but relize this you fucking dumb neb you will need about 1000.00+ dollars to just get that motor to fit"custom work".Of you get a motor like that and it is missing parts good luck on finding them cheap.The sr has a cheap aftermarket and is a great motor and 2350.00 is a great deal saying that the cheapest i have come by is 2600.00 and that is for a redtop and 2950.00 shipped for a blacktop.
