Hi guys,

I need some help with the problem i've been having lately. I have a 95 240 (KA), i recently replaced new spark plugs, fuel filter, battery, o2 sensor and starter. The car is auto, and sometimes it would stall out of no where..especially when i come across a full stop or slowing down...it struggles to stay on...sometimes i have to put it on neutral & gas it inorder to stay alive...otherwise it would just die on me..remember this car is auto...

i have checked the battery terminals make sure its tight. I played around with the MAF sensor..its fine...i even changed the air filter...i had the ecu read..nothings wrong...everything in the car is stock...so i really dont know whats wrong with it...

could it be bad grounds?? can someone give me some suggestions where to look at...

thanks guys...

it sounds like you may have a bad or clogged idle air control valve. the iac allows air into the engine especially under decelleration or at closed throttle. try cleaning it and let us know wassup

i dont think it would be bad grounds...

more likely mafs connection or vaccum leak.

sometimes the pins on the mafs connector does not touch the terminals cause the can be bent easily.

check your spark plug gaps again and clean you IACV.

Take your intake off and check your throttle body. If its all black I would get some throttle body cleaner and clean it up as well.

Get a squeeze bottle and use soapy water to spray down your vacuum hoses, if something starts to bubble up you may have a leak.

what's your idle set to? I agree with Bony, check wiring to IACV.

Now I think of it, you'd probably get a code if IACV was clogged or wiring messed. Something sounds goofy with your Air/Fuel and you mentioned you changed your Upper O2 sensor (or lower???) I wonder if you might have that mysterious Coolant Temp Sensor problem tho.

Drain your coolant, remove the sensor, test for specs, if it's bad (the 2 wire one with red plug) then replace it, this is your most likely cause of this issue.

Good to hear, I was waiting to see what the deal was. It's hard to get to, eh? The other possibility would have been the CTS, best of luck!

check condition of your belts too, could be slipping badly enough to cause this?
