I would like aftermarket bulbs too. Mainly because one of my high beams is out. also, when i had the 180sx front, i wired it so that my high beam would come on when i turn on the headlight, and i fliped the sealed beam upside down, so i get much better lighting, 'cause the regular one sucks ass. but if u do that, u have no more high beam

They make conversion kits to replace to sealed beams where you can run xenon bulbs. I just sold my friend a kit to do it on his trans am. He now has 80w lows and 100w highs. Plust the hyper white blue look. For this kit you are probably gonna be looking at like 60 bucks or so. Which is for the housings and the bulbs. Hope that helps ya

Never.. because the "dingy yellow" is actually brighter then that coated white BS.

Not to mention that 240 headlight harnesses are known to burn out when HyperRice overwattage bulbs are installed.

Hmmm...well, my Hella H4 conversions and PIAA Xtreme White bulbs have been doing just fine for over a year now. And I like the light MUCH better than the regular halogen bulbs. It's very crisp and white, with good color rendition. I know this is my main RICE part on my car, but I like them. I probably won't buy them again when they wear out, but it's working well for me at the moment. I still have the Hella bulbs that came with the kit, so I'll use those next time.

But yeah, you can get bulbs for your car if you get an H4 conversion.

Okay - I retract... I don't know if it was the edit or what, but I didn't notice you were all talking about an s13. It is the s14 harness that burns out w/ 100 watt bulbs, etc. (the s14 that has great lights as is)

I still hate overwatt Hyper bulbs.

Im running Raybrigs 125/120w 12v60/55 ''HID look" w/ aftermarket harness.
The closest to HID Ive seen!
Well worth my $90.

Couple of month ago, I installed H4 conversion kit to my 1991 coupe. I bought it from www.midnightmoose.com and also bought LED white bulb for the front side marker. They put my car pics in their customer gallery. Check pics at

I have the same aftermarket h4 conversion. Those glass housings are just great compared to the original frosted ones.
