ok,I have a 95 s14 auto" with a stock ka.The car has never given me any problems before. It always started like a champ and idles good.Today out of nowhere the car wouldnt start. It wont even crank over. Its Dead silent when I try to start it.My battery is not dead and the battery connections are fine.Im thinking it could have somethin to do with the starter. Not certain though.Need to get the car runnin asap so any suggestions be appreciated. Thanks

Try knocking on your starter a bit with a hammer and then starting it. had a similar problem with a started and i knocked on it and it started.

Do your lights come on at all? Do the accessory lights on your gauges come on? Check your fuses

maybe check the basic stuff like sparkplugs, starter, alternator, battery, and so on..

Well this happened to me when I had my KA and was really not up on maintenance. Check your oil. I ran it dry one night and the next day, bam! did not crank over.
Engine locked, I got luck and was able to manually turn the crank with a breaker bar and tons of leverage. Started up, but I had to manually turn the crank numerous times before it finally gave in.
Was a pain to have to get in and out of the car to turn the crank.
Good luck.

BAM!! finally got it started! I got up this morning and figured Id tap the hell out of my starter.(thought my case was different)
got in my car...turned the key to the on position (thinkin like yeah right,it aint gonna start just like that)....then BAM first try!
Last night I was checking if all my battery connections were nice n tight etc. Im pretty sure every thing I checkd was in good shape .I even thinking it was the inhibitor switch on the transmission.
the thing wouldnt start at all.
well it looks like i may need a new starter .... I always hear 240 owners going though starters...looks like its a comon problem with 240s.DAMN starters!!
Thanks guys for the advice

Yeah seems like a common problem considering they are anywhere from 9-18 years old.
