alright so i have an 89 240sx with a single cam engine. i bought the car with the engine having bent valves from the previous owner and i've been looking for a replacement head. one of my friends has a single cam ka head from [what he said was a] a 94 truck.

what i dont know is what model truck it is because he didnt look. so i was wondering if you guys knew which other vehicles, namely circa 94 pick up trucks, came with single cam engines.

i need to know so i can look up the specs of that head to see if i can use it on my current block because he said that there are some minor differences with it. such as: distributor on the opposite side, and a half carb'd half fuel injected intake mani.

he's selling the head to me for $50 bucks, but i need to make sure i can even use it.

some one help?

ps. i've already searched this forum.

if you are unsure of it dont buy it...simple.

just get a sohc head from an 89-90 240.

you dont want to go through the hassle of buying more shit to make your friends head hes selling you work.

$50 could get you a ka24e head out of a 240sx.

Then you won't hate your friend should it not bolt up.

ya buy one for a 240sx. the KA in the trucks might bolt in but its not the same. IIRC

the single cam heads from the trucks dont work, reason being they have 8 spark plugs
