View Full Version : Most likely another blown KA

I just got the motor in Dec. and granted, it wasn't in the greatest of shape. I took it to a 1/8 mile strip to get some runs in last night and it ran great. This evening, not so great anymore. It left a nice big foot-wide trail of oil and coolant down most of the street. I'm guessing a cracked block cause the head gasket seems fine. I'll get a better look tomorrow. It mostly spit out coolant, and at first I thought a radiator hose had ruptured but there is quite a bit of oil in it. Any input would be nice. KA:Owned:

What kinda input do you want? lol

Sounds pretty messed up to me. Good luck finding a new engine, I hope you find one that holds.

Sorry, I should've been a bit more specific. I'm still lost as to exactly what the hell happened and I can't find a crack or leak yet. Just wondering if anyone else cracked a block and what happened. I'm praying it's the head gasket but I doubt it.

Check the oil level and water. Maybe it was only coolant and it just got all the oil gunk that was built up wet.

Nope, it's a cracked block. I found it today. It's toast. It was kinda stupid of me to post this thread but I guess I was holding out that maybe someone would know something I didn't and it wasn't completely gone.

I got an s14 se ka with 121,000 in perfect shape. car waS WREKED IN REAR. PM ME FOR PICS.:x:

Damn. I have no idea how you would crack a KA block like that.

Good luck with your next engine though!
