Ok to make a long story short. on my way home wed night we had a rainstorm and several parts of NJ flooded. i got stuck ina 3ft puddle and it waterlogged.
all electrical shut off. (i relocated battery to trunk and wired in a 200amp circuit breaker.) i gave car a few min to drain water. check engine bay check trunk all was ok.
switched power back on no shorts so it was ok. pulled fuel pump fuse and cranked motor for 30 sec intervals. did that 4-5 times.
replaced fuel pump fuse and cranked again took 2-3 tries but it fired. revved it up to clear out any water. let it idle for roughly 15-20 min idled ok.
got back on the road and continued on home. drove for bout 10-15 min and suddenly the car went into limp mode. wouldnt rev past 2500rpm.
so i took local roads. today i got to look car completely over. tried 2 other MAF's and still a nogo.
next i pulled codes got a code 11 and code 41, i kno code 11 is crank angle sensor in the distributer. (last time i had a problem with a crank angle sensor car wouldnt run period. this one idles perfect.)
second code is 41 and i dont kno what code 41 is.

any help would be greatly apprectiated.

.

41 is youre air temperature sensor circuit.

You said youtried 2 other mafs, but have you check the wiring/plug? I had a wire pull out slightly on my maxima, it was barely noticable that it wasnt in alll the way, and it did not throw a code right away

i checked my wiring checked injectors to see maybe one was stuck open. seems to be running incredibly rich. then back fires and the tach goes nuts.
seems my rev limit moved up too 2800rpm today, yesterday it wouldnt really rev past 23-2400rpm.

next thing im tryin is a replacement ecu

unplug the MAF and see if it revs higher. also checks the pins of the connector for corrosion.Put a timing light on it and make sure the timing is steady. that should rule out the angle sensor

I unplug maf it doesnt rev at all it stalls. i check and cleaned connections today with electrical cleaner. and then put dielectric grease on everything.

timing light im gonna have to see if anyone i my area has. but if CAS is no good will it still run and idle ? cause it runs and idles perfect revs to 2500-2800 with no issues. anythin over that is where i have my problem

Did you get a fish stuck in your intake air filter? :P There may also be moisture in the cap/rotor.

nope not even close fixed it yesterday mornin, i guess from the water in the engine bay and me crankin the motor to clear the water out it loosened the alternator tensionor bolt. so it wasnt charging the car enough to fire over 2500rpm. tightned her up revvs to 6500rpm with out a hitch
